Bowser Jr. being 13 years old makes sense since him and the Koopalings were already portrayed as teenagers.

Bowser is actually slightly older than Mario, if we're going by Yoshi's Island. In that game, Bowser is at least a toddler, since he can talk somewhat legibly and he has the gross motor skills required to walk properly, while Mario is basically a newborn, meaning Bowser is maybe 2-3 years older than Mario.

I was expecting Bowser to be a lot older like 100 or 200.

so that would mean that Mario is in his twenties, maybe 29. Because in Yoshi's Island we see that Bowser can walk by himself and talk meanwhile Mario is still crawling around, so even then Bowser was a good few years older

My theory is that since Yoshi’s Island was released in 1995, and since Mario and Luigi were confirmed to be 26 (or now 27), the brothers may have been born in 1995. Just a guess.

It’s always refreshing to see Valskibum pump out videos like it is nothing. Bowser’s age is seemingly the most interesting on the fact that he is 34. I’m surprised how there’s so much detail Nintendo has that fans like us don’t want to really know.

If you are looking for a game evidence, he’s around possibly 27 to 30 years old because he is a slightly more mature baby than Mario, when the events of Yoshi’s island happen

I think it makes sense why they decided to age Bowser in his early 30s, he's got to be old enough to be a father yet young-ish enough for his love for Princess Peach (who going by Mario's canonical age should also be on her mid 20s) to make sense without being way creepier than it already is.

Whoa! Bowser is 34 years old? That is INSANE that the Koopa King is young in his adult years. Sephiroth from FF is 30 years old, making him younger than Bowser. It's CRAZY that both of these two famous antagonists are young in their thirties.

I don't know, Bowser Junior being 13 makes very little sense to me when he's considered a "baby character" in the games, such as Mario Kart Tour. Not to mention Bowser Junior doesn't really act like he's 13, and in Bowser Junior's Journey, is young enough to require baby sitters. Not to mention I'm fairly certain Larry Koopa is already 13-years-old, when I asked Michelle Hippe, his voice actress for Mario Kart 8, she told me that Nintendo told her to speak gibberish like a 13-year-old boy, which just so happens to fit how Larry is written in the games pretty well. And it's not like the characters can "age differently" and Bowser Junior is equivalent to a 5 or 6 year old at 13 and Larry is equivalent to a 13 year old at some older age either "because they're Koopas" like, Bowser was a toddler who spoke like "Gween Donkey" in Yoshi's Island when Mario was a newborn baby, and in Partners in Time's past, when the Mario Bros were now toddlers, Bowser was a kid, seemingly around Bowser Junior's age. Oh yeah, and also, Bowser Junior looks the same as Bowser did or very similar to when Bowser was a toddler/little kid. Was Bowser just, 11 years old in Yoshi's Island when he spoke like "Gween Donkey" and 13 in Partners in Time when the Mario Bros were 2 (assuming)? Even then, that still throws a wrench in the fact Mario is 30 as of Color Splash and no longer 24. I highly doubt these birthdates are canon, really. In the world of Mario, Classic DK/Cranky Kong, Tiny Kong and the Koopalings have all aged and were redesigned to fit that, Morton, Roy and Iggy all having had out-grown Mario, Iggy being lankier with taller proportions than when he was younger, even Larry has slightly taller proportions than back then. Then with Junior being a baby character, taking these birthdates literally does work better if the world is set in 2015, but then Mario would have to be stagnant at 24 when he's now 30. I'm sorry, but I don't think we finally know Bowser's age, or Bowser Junior's age. Bowser Junior still wears a bib even, he couldn't be 13. It was still cool to see them use Bowser and Bowser Junior for making accounts, and using those as birthdates, but I don't think Nintendo of Japan or Shigeru Miyamoto had anything to do with deciding those birthdates. Whereas Nintendo specifically asked Michelle Hippe to speak gibberish like a 13-year-old boy when voicing Larry, which just so happens to line up with how Larry is written in the games quite well. All things considered, I believe the direction with Mario Kart 8 over the how to make Switch profiles guide because when it was done with Mario Kart 8 with Larry's voice, it was for the game, how he'd sound in the games.

I would take the actual birth years with a grain of salt and souly as a date to confirm conanical number of years. Similar to how Donkey Kong came out 40 years ago, but Mario has always remained in his mid 20's.

Bowser being 34 is actually kinda funny and interesting to me🤣 I was so obsessed with Bowser as a little girl, as I had the plushies and figures. I even wanted to be princess Peach for Halloween once. But after all the years that have gone by, Bowser still remains as my favorite character. And since I saw the Mario movie it kinda rekindled my love for the Super Mario franchise. Makes sense. For those who are obviously not using their gaming knowledge, there are games such as Yoshi's island, and Mario Luigi partners in time that help prove how old they are. They are all around the same age. Multiple games prove this.

Actually lines up- maybe older than I thought. Bowser is a child in Yoshi’s Island, where Mario is just an infant. If Mario is supposed to be 25, then that’d make baby bowser about 7, which lines up almost perfectly.

I am just going to assume they left out two 0s and Bowser actually 3400 years old. And Junior's age is not too far off from his SML counterpart. Mario, Luigi, Peach, Daisy, Donkey Kong and the Wario Bros are all around 24-25 IMO. Rosalina is at least over 100.

Maybe King Koopa is Bowser’s Father since Bowser was born in 1989, which is similar too Leonard Pig being King Pigs Father in Angry Birds

So that means bowser had his son when he was 21. Hopefully, in the future, nintendo reveals more ages from other characters because it's very interesting that they seem younger than we thought. Then again Junior is 13 which is a bit older than we expected.

I honestly never thought about the ages of them. I thought Bowser Jr. could be like 10 years old due to his childish behaviour. But 13 also makes a bit sense. Bowser being 34 is interesting because I always thought he might be in that age since he's a father and has his son. But yeah, these characters and others in this universe doesn't have ages since they don't grow up and that isn't a big discuss.

They just chose an age that would make sense for someone with a 12-year old child. Mario canon also makes a lot more sense if you consider Yoshi's Island non-canon. It doesn't really make sense with everything that came before it.

Scientifically impossible. This would basically make Bowser a mere toddler. The largest tortoise (Galapagos Island Tortoise) can live up to 100, or even 500 years old. Considering he's larger, and essentially a monster, he would in fact live longer than that.

It seemed like they had general ages in mind and then picked a birthday that would make them those ages now. It makes sense for them to be 34 and 13 but it doesn't make sense for those to be their canon birthdates.

This could have been just an example where the people who made the video just used whatever name and DOB they wanted with no real connection to the franchise. Anyway, since some of the games showed Mario, Luigi, Peach and Bowseras babies at the same time, I always assume they were all around the same age. Then again they could end up playing that a little differently in the Mario movie canon.

i personally think bowser is actually 41 years old, since dk first released in 1985, since that was the first appearance of jumpman (or mario), that means he should predate the original super mario bros since donkey kong was also there.

Bowser is 34 every year, so his date of birth changes every year to accommodate for this. Last year his date of birth was in 1988, next year his date of birth will be 1990, making him 34 years old every year. Yep, that's how it works for characters who always stay the same age.

They may not actually be their dob, just give us a hint of what their physical age is. Kinda like Ash existing for a long time, yet still 10 years old as you just said. The old Mario games could also took place in the future, while modern ones took place at a similar time. Bowser has to be a similar age to Mario and Luigi, and by extension Peach because of Yoshi's island and Mario & Luigi: Partners in Time. If Bowser was a baby at the same time as Mario and Luigi, he can't be that much older than them. And with Mario & Luigi Partners in time showing us Peach also being a baby at that time, we can all confirm that: A) Bowser, despite being a different species ages at the same or similar ebough speed as humans. B) Bowser, Mario, Luigi and Peach are all similar in age.

Okay here's what I'm thinking If Bowser was born in 1989, and Mario is supposedly in his mid 20's (lets say 25), then that would mean Mario's birthday is October 11th 1998. Another thing to mention is the timeline in the Mario universe. So if Bowser was born in 1989 then that would mean Yoshi's world took place in 1998 which also means that "Baby Bowser" was 9 years old when Mario was born (first appeared). I believe that Bowser started kidnapping Peach at 34. He was six years old when we saw Bowser as a child after he was born. It easier when you think about this chronologically.

Since mario and Luigi are canonically 26 years old, that would mean they were born in 1997. And assuming the green yoshi in yoshis island is the same one from the mainline games, that would make him at least in his 50s right now assuming that he was around mario and luigis age in yoshis island.

To explain the games being older that the characters… well, that part’s easy. There’s a lot of games out there that take place in the future… or at least, what the future was at that time. It doesn’t seem too far fetched that the games would come out at different times than the events in said games take place.

I'd thought Bowser Jr. would be in his early 20's since he debuted in Super Mario Sunshine which was released in 2002.

I feel like the original Mario game was set around 2014-15and Sunshine being around 2016 since the timeline of Mario games really isn't that long. This is just a headcanon guess, so I could be horribly wrong.
