We enjoy your wildlife videos 👍Lovely area Powys might not be Scotland lol But don't Under estimate the wildlife diversity of Wales. We bought a Small Woodland only 1.4 Acres in Powys but the amount of wildlife we have captured on trail cam is amazing ! Sparrow Hawks ,Buzzards, Tawny Owls, Kite, Jay, Pied Flycatchers, fox, badger, hedgehog & polecat the list goes on!! Only the other day a Neighbouring woodland owner reckoned he spotted a black panther in the farmers field recording it on his phone. Though a bit sceptical about this you never know what you will see next. Unlike you though Simon we still live in England and have to Travel to our wood so the trail cam is our main way of capturing wildlife when not at the wood for a mini holiday. Congratulations Simon, and welcome to Wales! We moved here two and half years ago, similar to you we had been in the previous house for 29 years! It’s a big upheaval but definitely worth it. Good luck with your projects I’ll be watching with interest, we have ten acres in total including a coniferous wood and a paddock. Been trying to get to grips with it since we moved in! Listening to what you described about your new place we have similar situations. We get buzzards, red kites, great spotted woodpeckers etc. I know we have tawny owls, foxes, badger and polecats in the woods, because we have caught them on the trail cameras but never actually seen them!
