We Finally Return to CEDAR POINT - Roller Coaster Capital of the World | VLOG [6/5/23]

I have been going there since I was a little girl back in the 60s. I passed that on to my children and it has always been our vacation destination. We would stay at the breakers hotel for three nights and then you could go directly to the park from there. It even opened up an hour earlier for folks that stayed at cedar point hotels or camping area. I have yet to take my grandchildren but that is definitely on my bucket list. I can remember being so afraid to ride the Blue Streak. I rode it seven times in a row. It is no longer there anymore as they have torn it down. Great memories!!!!!

Omg guys I got on Steel Vengeance on 5/21 in the middle of the day and it literally knocked the wind out of me. Back row ride for me. Unfortunately they had many coasters down when I was there. Cedar Point is my home park and can't wait for Dragster 2.0. Have a great day guys.

I’ve been to a lot of theme parks as a kid but I haven’t rode any since 2012. I just recently got back into coasters and went to coaster mania 2023. I feel you in the beginning of this video. We got to CP around 6pm ish and pulling down the causeway seeing all the coasters is so amazing. It was such a good sight. Then driving back to lighthouse point passing millennium is just as great. Best place on earth imo

Haven’t been since 2018 and I’ll hopefully be revisiting this park next year with the revamped Dragster (along my first trip to Kings Island) if my plans work out. Such a good park.

I'll be going there in August! It'll be my second time there, I went for the first time for Hallow Weekends last year.

Went to Kings Island and enjoyed myself but Cedar Point is better for me in every way. What an amazing park.

I finally made it to Cedar Point and Kings Island last week and between the two parks, I did prefer Kings Island. Not necessarily as far as the roller coaster line up goes, but I liked Kings Island better as a park itself. For one thing, Kings Island was far less crowded, so I didn't have to rely on spending more money than I wanted/planned to on a fast lane to get in a good day of riding coasters like I did at Cedar Point. But even with a fast lane, some of the wait times at Cedar Point for certain coasters were considerably longer than one would expect. Also, aesthetically Kings Island is a much nicer park. I'd say that Kings Island is the nicest Cedar Fair park that I've ever been to. Anyway, the coaster line up at Cedar Point was great, but not my favorite line up at parks I've been to. Gatekeeper was great, considerably better than Wild Eagle, which I do very much like. I loved Rougarou. I thought it had a good layout and some good forces. Contrary to popular opinions among enthusiasts, I really liked Valravn. I thought it was a lot of fun, and I don't get why so many people discredit it. I do like Griffon more between the two, but still I think Valravn is a good coaster. Corkscrew was actually not too bad for the type of coaster it is. I expected it to be horrible, but it really wasn't. I was surprised. Gemini was pretty damn fun, and I wasn't expecting to get the amount of airtime moments that I did on it. Steel Vengeance --- great coaster, but in all honesty, I expected it to be more thrilling and intense than it actually was. I wasn't underwhelmed, but I also wasn't blown away by it. As far as RMC's go, I do like Iron Gwazi and Aeriforce One more than Steel Vengeance. I think overall they have better pacing, better elements, greater intensity and the aggressive relentlessness that I really like in a coaster that Steel Vengeance lacks. Maverick turned out to be my favorite coaster in the park. What a great coaster. Luckily, when evening hit, it was more or less a walk on in the fast lane, so I often got multiple rides in a row on it. Magnum XL-200 -- not a fan of it at all. I got one ride on it, and that was enough for me. It is by far my least favorite hyper coaster I've ridden. It was uncomfortable throughout almost the entire ride, and I thought the layout was boring. It was a coaster that did absolutely nothing for me, except cause discomfort over and over again. I definitely see why many people have such disdain for Magnum XL-200. Raptor was decent. I liked it but didn't love it. Just thought it was a basically good roller coaster. I love B&M inverts, and I'd say Raptor is probably my least favorite so far that I've ridden. Blue Streak was easily forgettable.

I'm more of a fan of theme parks than amusement parks so Cedar Point doesn't crack my top 5 favorite parks. Again, that's just my personal taste in parks. But there is no denying that Cedar Point is the top amusement park. Between the setting, the coasters, the atmosphere and the sense of history and nostalgia Cedar Point is truly a place like no other.
