Hello & welcome to a new episode, a garden find special
So what can I tell you? How it started, So I got a message from a chap a couple of weeks back asking if I'd like to go and record his car collection. I obviously said yes, ! What an absolute legend of a man, not only does he have 2 sierra xr4x4s, But he has a turbo sapphire, a mk1 ford fiesta xr2 cabrio fly, But on top of that he only has a sierra RS COSWORTH Hidden away in some bushes, I mean really, You will not believe what you are about to see, This ladies and gents is a true gem of a garden fined, Sit back and relax whilst i show you something that's not normally found like this, What is noramly showed at car shows or is normally the apple of the owners eyes, This one has been nothing more then a second thought, This is a ford rs cosworth bush find....

I've been a subscriber for a long time now and have cars laid up myself. but this video is a perfect example of why people don't want to showcase the cars thay have stored away or laid up in bushes. poor bloke has invited us all to see his cars and given us good content with stu and most of the people in the comments are slating him over trying to start it or keeping a diesel sierra in the garage instead of the cossie and the people saying its criminal leaving it to rot. who do some people think thay are. we can all dream about what we would do with a car like that in our garden but the reality is most of us would of just sold it on to fund something else. all I'm saying is we should just enjoy watching the video instead of picking fault's and scaring off the type of person we need to get in contact with stu to provide us with access granted videos 🍻👍

Hi bud first of all thanks for watching, but i need to mention that we did all the relevant checks before hand off camera to warrant a turn over, obviously we knew it wouldn't start and the car doesn't belong to me it belongs to nathan it was his decision to try and turn it over, he knows his car and knew the implications it may or may not of caused, Please don't be so quick to judge, Appreciate the time you took out to watch, Many thank Stokze....

Poor Cossie, of all the people it could have ended up with it ended up in the hands of a lazy hoarder. My neighbour is a hoarder, they are just the worst people to live next door to, luckily his plot of land is tiny so he can't do much damage, but I have to look at his rubbish tip every single day.

Great video bud. I kinda know the area by the roads. Many years ago about 8 years I picked a car up from a chap who lived in the middle of nowhere but 2 min from the sea. And in his barn which was bloody massive sat these cosworths. And loads of land rovers. It's mad how people horde things and let them rot away. Shame buy it is his car to fo with as he wants. Parts alone it's worth a absolute fortune. Keep up the good work 👍👍 And that dash in the centre console brought back some memories my dad had a Sierra Ghia The little pic of the car with the doors open. Loved it 😍

18:01 always same place, dirt plugs the water drainage and it starts to rust. In the front fenders the sierras are always rusted out in the bottom, where the sideskirts start. In the wheelhouse at the back where the sideskirts ends. In the backend where the screws for the rear bumper are screwed, it is usually rusted out. Where the luggage hatch seal ends, in the middle it's always rusted out becus the drainage gets plugged from dirt. The worst part in my opinion on the sierras are the fuel tanks, there is an perfect shelf where the fuel level sensor sits ontop of the fueltank for dirt/water and salt to sit. Every sierra i have bought and sold has an rusted out fueltank. I Wish there was a company that produce replica plastic tanks, as it's getting really hard to find brand new ones and if you find an used one they are often rusted out around where the fuel level sensor is supposed to be. I have owned every sierra except an Cosworth, was a time i hadd a chance to buy one for very cheap, but now it's just way to late and out of my pricerange. My 2.0doch Clx hatchback from the 90's will have to do, still can't find a fueltank for it, been sitting for 10years mabe 10years more i find a fuel tank 🙂 Would be really cool to screw this apart as mutch as you can and then renovate part by part into factory brand new type shape

Great upload, good to see they’re still out there whatever the condition. 👍 How many Sierras??? 🤣👍 My mate had one of these beasts back in ‘94, he paid £10k for it. I had an A plated XR4i at the time that I bought for £500 and scrapped it that same year as it needed too much work. 🤷‍♂️. Insurance for the year on the 4i, third party F&T was only £150 I seem to remember, from a company called Hyoerformance. The good old days. 👍

You would be surprised what you can find. Having a step dad who’s very much like this and ‘restoring’ both a cortina and an old mk2 escort he’s found plenty of parts inc 3rd party panel presses! (I use the word restoring lightly as there’s now more car parts in our workshop then lincos) hardest part is having any welding done if you can’t do it yourself that’s where a big cost is. Hardest other part is finding the little bits like OEM ashtray cover or like a fog light switch.

Don't even *try* to start it. It needs the oil draining and a look down into the bores. If it has been stood outside like that for 14 years without the engine being turned over then I'd almost guarantee that the rings are knackered. It's a fairly expensive engine to buy replacements bits for now, so don't try to start it just for youtube clicks. Do it properly.

@@johnsnowdon2939 Just for youtube clicks?? , i certainly do not do anything for clicks, 6 hours on the road for this location, all day filming over a week editing i certainly do not do it for clicks, And you are right if it was my car i would strip the engine down and do a proper job but as its not my car and i was invited to do a video i ran with what i was given, I was asked to turn it over, So please consider the facts as what you're saying was a tad unfair, Thanks for the view,

@@ImStokze at the very least try to turn the engine over by hand first via the crank pulley and you'll know if it is seized or not. Just trying to crank a engine that you have no idea of the internal condition is a recipe for disaster - whether you are the one wanting to do it or not. If it turns via the crank pulley, take the plugs out and squirt some oil down the bores, then try spinning it on the starter. If that's all fine *then* maybe try starting it (after changing oil, fuel, etc). Sourcing a replacement YB is now eye-wateringly expensive.

That’s going to be a job and a half to get the car out of that space. It looks like the car was parked up and the shed was built afterwards. Let’s just hope you don’t have to demolish or get the shed moved to get the car out. I own a 1988 Ford Orion 1600e in the colour Raven in my car collection, not many of the 1500 vehicles manufactured by Ford and retrimned in leather seats and wood trim by Tickford left now.
