5:06- Could be the adjusting screw from an adjustable spanner/ monkey wrench. 25:46- The escutcheon plate, recast in metal would be a fantastic piece of jewelry if you added around its circumference " Do You Have The key To My Heart?".

It's no from a spanner because it's made of brass. We no believe it's whats called a 'worm gear' 😊 And a lovely idea for a piece of jewellery! x

@@NorthernMudlarks I agree it's a worm gear, but did you know they made brass and brass alloy wrenches? They were used where their was a danger of a spark causing an explosion. Still in use today. Somewhere in the numerous piles of hand tools I have an open end one I bought as a collectable 40-50 years ago

All those brass and copper bits are interesting. I am in a landlocked area and don't travel far so I have to pull treasure out of a dumpster.I do find old brass bits, and very occasionally something made of copper. Your ships nails even look nice when they are polished up!

I believe that some of the musket balls were grape shot. They would be fired from cannons on ships or on the shore defenses. The screw looking thing is a worm for running cloth patches through a muzzle loading rifle.👍☮️

Some fascinating finds there. There is a simple way to check for silver content using tin foil and a little water. Wet the foil, and rub on the object, if it smells of rotten eggs (and usually gets warm or even hot) then its silver!! Happy hunting!

Only found your channel a few weeks ago, but I'm addicted to seeing what you can find. Personally, I'd struggle mudlarking as I'm disabled and can't bend down to have a go. But it makes up watching you both have fun as Mother and Daughter together time as that is important in life. I love the creations both of you make with your finds too. I make jewellery from recycled beads as well as new ones as the old with the new looks good as is Earth-friendly too. Keep up the great work and Vlogs, brilliant xxx
