I watch these videos with my ten year old granddaughter who is home educated, and we often incorporate your finds in our history lessons and then do our own research to follow up. #iwantthegoldencrystals My dad and I used to take a few minutes out of our fishing trips to sit down on the huge rock piles, and look for pretty rocks. I loved the striped agates and carnelian. Your trip in this film reminded me of those walks and searches. My dad has been gone 12 years, and I am now 70, so you can tell what a treasured time you reminded me of! Thank you!💖
Me too! Any rock that even resembled a crystal was taken home. My dad would put the treasures into resin to keep so they never got lost. I'm 60 and they are special memories. Blessings

My Mom and I were beach comers. We picked up concretion rocks, petoskey fossils, and small pieces of driftwood along Lake Michigan. Most of my siblings weren't into it. It all began by going on a fossil hunt with our Grandma. She had grown up by a hill of crinoids. Watching the two of you together take me back some 60 years. I look forward every week.

My heart dropped when Alex let the crystal cluster hit the ground. People will pay good money for those clusters. Ladies you left more treasure then you know on the ground. I understand the blessing of jewelry making. Rock hunters and collectors pay big for those clusters. Think of that for the future. Bring a few home and sell them :)

Good job. Love all the finds. FYI always look in rock plies you would be surprised what u can find even in parking lots. I found a beautiful brown druzy crystals rock and had small cave all over the rock with druzy.

I've watched you all throughout lockdown and you've kept me sane. It touched my heart that Mother and daughter can have such adventures, especially when I couldn't see my own daughter due to lockdown. Luckily this year we managed to get away together for a holiday in August to your neck of the woods. We had a glorious day on Seaham beach and a couple of other days at other beaches in the area. Such precious time and memories spent with my own daughter. We even got my daughter's boyfriend hooked, and he was the first to find pipe stems on the water line! When I was a child in the 60s we used to find lots of these crystals on the mineral lines in the Northeast of England where I’m from. Obviously, as a child I had little knowledge of them.

@@shineurlight thank you, same to you. Unfortunately it is no longer there. The old mineral line was flattened during the reclamation of the land in the 1980s and and is now a public footpath.
@@alfieinnit6859 it was along a disused mineral line in Whiteleas, South Shields we used to play on in the 1960s. It was flattened out in the 1980s when the land was reclaimed and part of it made into a nature reserve. The fields along the mineral line were historically used as bottle dumps, but any digging is strictly forbidden, although people have tried in the past.
I've been totally hooked on your amazing adventures since discovering you right at the start of all the first lockdown madness and the gentle history you bring with your finds and the stunning scenery is enough to lift anyone out of the deepest blues! I went to my storage garage to get my winter things as we were going to get snow tonight. I also am an artist and grew up going to the dump with my family to hunt for treasure as a child. But I grabbed two totes thinking the were jewelry tools I have been looking for. Got home and started to unpack and what did I find but a bag of golden crystals. I had watched you video hours before and was in complete awe when I came across a nice bag that I never knew aI had. I had been thinking as I watched you two hiking up the hills how I wished I could travel and find treasures..but God provided me with what was available to me and I found treasure..lol! Now..what you do with yours is what I am excited to see..and what I will do with mine I will share too! Thank you for your lovely channel..I so enjoy it back in the states!!
It's not unusual that surface finds would be clear crystals, as sunlight fades many gems...such as topaz, amethysts, and opal. Are those the famous Caerngorms? I thought that they look like chunks of pineapple.

Your snow mountain rock at 34:50 looks for me to be baryt/barite, barium sulfate. It would fit in a fluorit deposit they dug for in former times, nice finds. regards from germany :-)
