I know it's a joke video, but I dislike how the movie portrayed Peach. She's supposed to have magic abilities, but the movie just has her collecting power-ups like Mario. Also, Bowser never transforms people into blocks, which is a major plot of the original games lol. He kidnaps Peach because her magic powers could revert that transformation.

I'll tell you how it should have started. There shouldn't have been a Luigi character. It should've focused on Mario. In it, Bowser wants power. Not because he's in love with the Princess, in which of course he does express some admiration to her beauty, but because she has been oppressing the koopa people for years. The story begins with Bowser breaking into an ancient temple where he discovers a magical star which grants him magical powers. He gathers the koopa tribes together and, after defeating any challengers to his claim, proceeds to invade the mushroom kingdom by turning the mushroom people into bricks, stones and horsehair plants, "So they understand what it means to be subservient." Peach, however, has a way to fix the curse enacted by Bowser, but she can't do it until she returns back to her castle and reads from her book of spells. Meanwhile, Mario is working hard in New York as a plumber. Life is sad and miserable. The people are mean, the streets are dirty and rent is always high. He just finished a job and the toilet is now working perfectly. But the owner, a woman called Karen, won't pay him for his work because he dirtied her rug. Mario, unable to do anything about it, leaves, gets back on his rundown minivan and goes back to his job's place of business. He turns him his paperwork to his boss, but the boss stops him. "Whoa whoa whoa, what's dis?" Mario's boss asks. "It'sa da paperwork boss." Mario explains. "I see dat. But it ain't got da customahs signachur." As Mario tried to explain that Karen wouldn't pay, Mario's boss waves it all away. "I don't wanna 'ear it. Youse gonna let some Karen get free service? Was da matta wich you?" "Imma sorry," was all Mario could say. Suddenly the phone rang. Mario's boss picks it up. "Plumbin'." "Uhuh. Uhuh. Ok. I be-a der real quick." He hangs up and turns to Mario. "Youse stay here. I don't want anatha customah getting-a free service. We'll-a talka then." The boss leaves and Mario goes into the break room. He waits a while, then falls asleep. In the mushroom world, Toad is running from some koopas and goombas. He runs over to the forbidden pipes area, where he hopes to get away. But the koopas and goombas find him and then corner him to the edge of a cliff. One of the koopas bring out some handcuffs and just as they attempt to apprehend Toad, he jumps. And he falls, and falls and keeps falling into the darkness. Mario is awakened by a sudden thump coming from the bathroom. He rubs the back of his neck and then proceeds to go into the bathroom to investigate. He opens the door and sees a mushroom head popping out of the toilet. Surprised, he explains it away as the plumbing having had a crack that caused a plant to grow through the toilet. And just as he's about to grab the mushroom, it immediately moves its head and Toad gasps for air. Mario jumps back, surprised. "Mama mía! What da heck ar' you?!" "I'm Toad. Who are you?" He says in a high pitch voice. Mario hesitates for a moment to respond, then says, "I'mma Mario. A plumber for dis place." Toad gets a closer look at Mario and suddenly realizes something and smiles. "Mario, I need your help." "What? You got a broken toilet or something?" Mario asks. "No, I need a hero to save my world from the evil Bowser." Toad says. "My English isa not so good. Whas a Bowser?" Mario asks. "He's a giant lizard with magical powers bent on ruling the mushroom kingdom. My world." Toad explains. Mario is skeptical. Assuming it's just some kid pulling a prank, he tells Toad that he doesn't have time for jokes. He's got rent to pay and a brother to take care of. He looks at a photo of himself and Luigi in some carnival haunted mansion. Luigi is cowering at cheap ghosts machines while Mario laughs. But Toad won't take no for an answer. He grabs Mario by the collar and pushes him into the toilet and they're magically transported to the mushroom kingdom. And THAT'S how you start a Super Mario movie. No girl boss crap, no stupid Donkey Kong (even if Seth Rogan was appropriate for the role), and ffs no Luigi in the first movie. Too many characters take away from the protagonist. Especially when you're trying to introduce a story and world building. Take steps. Hollywood SUCKS.
