You would think these have all been discovered by now, but no, we recently found an amazing first-year Fender Stratocaster! For those unaware, the first year for the Strat is 1954, and this one is in wonderful condition for its age. Join Trevor and Ken on a journey across a small body of water to a Washington island town to pick up this incredible instrument, and meet not only the son of the original owner and masterful automotive and aerospace machinist Jeff Faris, but also the stunningly beautiful 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air he built from the frame up.

@twintriode

It's all gone now. Those days are history. Fender, Gibson, Rickenbacker; none of them make them like they use to. They all would like to recreate those days for revenue sake, but the materials and workmanship are gone. Everything America was admired for is gone, replaced by jokers like Elon Musk. America is a mere shell of itself.

Yeah, I agree. I currently own a Fender Custom Shop, and it's an AMAZING instrument! In fact, it's probably the finest electric guitar I have played. Much better than I remember a vintage Fender being. I think the custom shop are currently making instruments better now than the original 50s, 60s, and 70s guitars. The idea that the vintage stuff is better is simply a myth.

That 54’ Stratocaster was simply amazing. I’m sure it was bittersweet parting with it, regardless of the offer, because of it’s connection to his beloved father. May it end up in a buyer’s hands, that cherishes it as much as his father once did.✨🎁

Wow! I cannot believe this video! I saw the story title and had to tune in- one owner 54 Strat? Yes, I need to see this. So I tune in, start watching, then you arrive at the seller’s house - and it says his name is Jeff Faris. Wait, what? Is that Jeff Faris from Yakima Wa.? So I start paying closer attention and then his wife says her name is Brenda, and that’s it! I went to high school with Jeff, his sister was in my class he was a grade or two above me. Never saw Jeff after high school until years later. My sister in law Shelly was a para pro for the Selah school district and taught Jeff and Brenda’s special needs grandson, and as a thank you to her, they let her and my brother Roy use their mountain cabin. Spent many a beautiful weekend there. Super nice people. What a one in a million video to stumble across! So what did it sell for?

Even the Stradivarius and Guarani instruments from the 18’th century. The rich collectors are welcome to keep 3 or 4 of the best guitars and amps available. Play them every day. Give the rest to music schools so that students can learn on vintage instruments. What a gift to the next generations.
