I always donate to thrift stores that help animals and I love to thrift at them too. I can't wait to see how you style your finds.....lots of gems in there.
Hi Dave and Heather. 🥰 As an animal lover who rode horses growing up, I was so moved by the wonderful thrift shop that helps horses from its proceeds. ❤️🐎🐴❤ I would definitely shop there. What kind and generous folks they truly are. God bless their compassionate hearts of gold. Wow, you guys hit the motherload of thrift scores! Each of those pieces are absolutely AMAZING! Looking forward to see how you style these gems. ❤❤❤
Very nice. Where I live animal shelter sometimes sell donated stuff at fleamarkets. A few times I paid much more than the asking price, because they did not know how special an older textile was. And through one contact I adopted two gorgeous black cats. Win win for all concerned. They placed two virtually unadoptable ferals. Both became cuddle bugs but it took a long time. I am so grateful to have them sharing my house and garden.
What beautiful items you found. I really miss thrifting,I'm 70 and not well so can't go anymore ,your taste is very similar to mine, earthy and comfortable. I LOVE that it helps rescued horses,I'm all about the animals, been vegan 53 years. My best friend has senior dog rescue and sanctuary. Also Heather was my daughters name
There's a beautiful film called "Enchanted April". One of Josie Lawrence's lines is "It's a tub of love". She could have been talking about your channel 🥰 xxx
I absolutely love love love that film. ❤ It's so refreshing when someone mentions it after all these years. And you're right I could see Josie saying the exact same thing 😊
Lots of gems in there, but my favorite piece has to be Dave's Sashiko Japanese shirt! I've been wanting one of those or a Kimono in that style, and you got it for $1! What a great cause too. Thanks for showing us everything!
OMG, what a discovery! The sashiko jacket,-- Dave, you won the thrifting lottery. So many wonderful finds, Heather, I can't wait to see you style them .
*Empyre is designed as "Skater Wear". Originated in the 90's. I have a pair of high rise tan-ish wide cord pants by Empyre. They are fun. Pulling your finds out of the bags was like Mary Poppins magical endless bag 👜... LoL *
It's fabulous finding treasure but washing and upcyclinig it the most fun I just finished all my projects and it feels wonderful I've made a pair of Levi jeans into a maxi skirt I'm thrilled with it that was inspired by your maxi jeans skirt Heather ...like Dave says anyone can do this you just have to give it a shot what inspired me to have a go is Dave's advice it doesn't have to be perfect I'd love to see some more upcycling video's ❤
Thank you for sharing your haul! I appreciate your excitement about creative dressing. It is incredibly thoughtful of how you talk about wearing these clothes as individuals and sharing family pieces. Even if not family pieces you share anyway! Your encouragement of one another is sweet. I like the kindness that you have towards each other❤️
Your video makes me want to take a trip Canada & visit this shop. I love supporting shops that help animals. I subscribed to your channel and look forward to seeing more of your videos. Thanks for sharing your shopping experience. I thoroughly enjoyed it.
I used to have horses, so, I would definitely go to that store for items. Like you, I love stores that cater to helping people and animals. Thanks for sharing your fun finds.🐴🐎❤❤
Thrifting is like a sugar addiction.I’m surrounded by thrift stores but I’m not stepping in there yet.i love your eclectic visions on your styling.Love you and Dave.❤🥰
Thrifting is like a sugar addiction. We have a purpose for everything that goes home with us...which makes thrifting garments exciting😊It is wonderful to hear your commitment to staying out of the stores at this time so you can accomplish your goal❤️❤️❤️We love you
What a score. Lots of cool stuff. That's awesome that they rescue horses. Your yard and porch looks fabulous. Love all the driftwood and the flagstone or sandstone walkway, I wish I could find someone I totally trust to rent a couple rooms in my house so I can spend more time in Oregon. Happy Thrifting
Thank you😊It funny how life goes if we want something...it just happens, even though it doesn't happen how we might think it will. Wishing you more time in Oregon❤️❤️❤️
You guys are adorable and I just love everything you bought!! Some truly beautiful pieces that you both can wear. I would wear these wonderful finds. Enjoy them!

Heather, on any of your jeans you could add pieces of patchwork and hand sew around. Also, hand stitched doileys on jeans are a ‘thing’ too. Pinterest has many ideas on upcycling clothes. Always love videos from Heather and Dave. Cheers from Oz 🤗❤️🇦🇺
We are fortunate to find many garments in our size, but we really enjoy getting larger size garments to style up and experiment with different looks 😊💕💕💕
Ya...all the styling and upcycling projects for $1. It is one of the most exciting hobbies one can have for the value💕💕💕Wishing you a day filled with inspiration Jill.
Thank you😊We are just getting started with the outdoors landscaping and will show more ways to upcycle it into something fun in the next video or two😊Wishing you a wonderful day Robin💕💕💕
Love this shop. I am Canadian and live in Ontario. I’ve been PEI once but didn’t know about this shop. Love it. I would want to pay the total then add more 😊
Hey guys I just discovered your channel. I love all the cool and funky finds you’ve collected. You mentioned C Minor in your comments. Could you put that in the comment response. I want to add patches and pieces to my denim. I love how you two get along…finishing each other’s sentences ♥️
Welcome to our channel😊Tracy at "tmyers handmade" has great tutorials for patch making and so much more. Thank you for your kind comment. Wishing you a beautiful day 💕💕💕
Thank you😊There are a couple of videos " our upcycled home 1 & 2 " . We have recently moved and are showing our renovation in upcoming videos...with a following home tour💕💕💕
These are really good questions. We do have room in our fashion house...and plan on utilizing every piece we take home to aid in producing a method for long term sustainable fashion😊❤️❤️❤️
Can I buy the overalls and the jeans with cargos at the bottom from you as Is? I would also love the butterfly tshirt and aeropostal distressed tshirt.
Yes the freezer will kill any possible moth eggs ( larvae ) which could lead to major destruction of natural fibers...mainly wool & alpaca. Since we have a a lot of natural fibers...anything that comes into our fashion house that we cannot immediately wash goes into a sealed bag in our deep freezer for a minimum of 24 hours 😊💕💕💕
@@HeatherandDave oh I don’t see how. I once was wearing nice white trousers, and I went with friends, a married couple, to an art museum. As I commented on the use of color here, and pastels there, my friend Bob looked like he was suppressing laughter, and he would vigorously agree with me about the lovely colors. When we got home and I changed, and finally saw what was so funny, I told Bob I would get my revenge someday!
