Yup. I have one. They were sold in England. GIs brought them home from WW2. I doubt thats a miners cache. Its a Vets possessions. Lots of guys with PTSD went out into the deserts and wild places after the war to escape civilization and the terrors they had witnessed and never returned. Maybe the sweater belonged to a woman and he buried these things, mementos as a way to move on. Or based on the remoteness and the nearby cliff....I'm betting he moved on the quick way. I bet theyd find his remains at the bottom of that cliff.

That moment where you actually find something worth something even if it is just one coin it is amazing. My father when I was very young in an era they still wore bell bottoms used to go out with his metal metal detector and sometimes we would hunt jackrabbits and stuff in the Nevada desert. He found a 10 oz gold nugget just sitting under a bush. No kidding. Then another one bigger I cannot remember how much he said it weighed but it was pretty exciting. The only issue was when he found them it started a fever (GOLD FEVER) in him that made him think he would find millions of them and we walked that damned desert so much and rode dirt bikes out there and went hunting, to this day I cannot get the dust out my mouf. I think he found some coins and misc stuff like old watches but never again found gold. But it is exciting!

Something never found and is legend is the lost dutchmans mine. Most therories point to it being on tribal land though so not sure how to work with that. Awesome adventure as always. Thank you.
@Noofter
@Noofter Год назад
It’s in a national park (Superstition Mountains), if anything that’s harder to work with than tribal land because the second the park figures out it is real and there, it’ll become a designated landmark/historical relic and trying to take gold from it (I would assume that is what most would want to find it for) would be very illegal. So the likelihood it has been found and the people that found it keep it to themselves is very possible

its been wrapped up buried in a dry AF dessert it not to far fetched for it to be in such good condition plus i found one of those style shovels rusted to hell in Normandy it still opened fine as the hinge was covered in grease

Speaking as a prior Army man, the shovel is called an "entrenching tool". The newer style folds up into a plastic pouch the size of the shovel blade.

That's why they are sifting the sand with shovels not proper tools as they know exactly what they are looking for, anyone with half a brain that stumbles across "buried treasure" wouldn't want to lose anything, Americans believe absolutely anything, that's why their government feeds them so many lies and they buy it, even if the truth comes out many years later they feed them another bs excuse that they buy into again, look at the propaganda they fed them on tv a few decades ago, utter nonsense that Americans believed, even nowadays the content creators feed them that much fake bs for views, Mr beast is a perfect example, maybe the most successful RU-vidr, if you can't tell that the content he creates is mostly staged you are most likely an American, but hey it's the country of freedom right? So much freedom Alex Jones has to go to court for something he said, but let's film it and turn it into a show for people to watch about a man who built his career on talking shit mostly, USA is for the crazies

Moab is an amazing place! So much to see which you wouldn't think considering it's a desert but so many awesome and amazing things! I seem old like cave writings and something almost like hieroglyphs and a ladder made from trees that were wedged in a crack in the cliff for the natives to access the top of the canyon I was in, it was one of the most amazing things I've ever seen! We camped at the campground across the street from McDonald's for a about a week. We took 2 jeeps down on a enclosed trailer for a week of probably the best time I've ever had in my life!

I love it there is a modern day army shovel and wire cutters and the one guy goes “is that a scroll” Yes it’s an ancient Egyptian scroll. Aliens came into the future and brought stuff back 2000 years ago that’s why they’re together in the same pile. Of course it’s not a scroll you Putz

Was once out with a friend backpacking finding stuff. I dug up and found 2 guns. One of the first style of colt six shooters 1839 year stamp and a 25-35 with a date stamp of 1894. I took them home, took them apart cleaned them up. 25-35 was a cool find, also have one handed down to me thru family that was given to my great great grandfather by an Indian chief.
