That is the second time this month a religious medallion has been found metal detecting these old cellar holes in the woods. We made the point today to pick in the nail iron and see what we could find for relics and coins hiding in the trash. And we did very well today. One old large copper repurposed into something with nail holes in. A 1844 US large cent, Jesus medallion, buttons, buckles, forks, tools and more. This site you can find stuff going back to the Colonial days of New England all the way up to modern days. We just kept detecting and digging up all the signals we heard until we got to the good stuff. A couple of surprising finds as well as a couple of mystery finds.
