We found something INCREDIBLE in our #narrowboat !
In this week's episode it's out with the old and in with the new..
We tidy up our #tinyhome, ready for our first family visitors, get down and dirty with some #DIY and uncover the BEST HIDDEN secret about our #canalboat. The question now is, shall we still call our boat Jethro??
Oh and we say goodbye to our favourite place yet and take you with us on another glorious #cruise.

Quick tip for emptying the loo cassette - if you press the orange button (at the top in the video) it lets air in and stops it sloshing/splashing so much x

Nature's Head Composting Toilet, Foxes Afloat switched to one, check them out. Oh and if drilling with a hole saw once the center bit comes through switch to the opposite side if possible to avoid chipping the wood.

Composting toilets. I used an Airhead toilet on my boat with a family of four for over a year while we cruised. Fantastic product, took about 10 minutes to clean and reinstall.

'Compoost' compost toilets are amazing. British company too. Empty every 4 days. Odour free, we use coconut core.

Generator needs a new spark plug and then she'll work great. Tim Tams are the best dunker. Might be difficult to find in the UK because they are Australian, but when you find them WOW!

The proper way to paint steel is to sandblast it to white metal. Apply a primer and then top coat. Look at oil tanks the paint on them last 40 years before it needs to be repainted.
