Is this the best campsite in cornwall? This weekend we visited this awesome family friendly campsite in Cornwall and we think its the most unique, quirky and fun campsite there is. Its deffo worth a visit.
We stayed at Henrys in April this year and sound it to be great - a real adventure and exploration. The site is unlike any other that we've stayed at. We loved watching the 'gaggle' of ducks wandering about the place as if they owned it! There's something different at every turn. Henry, the owner, is a real character. Bonus - Lizard village is a few minutes walk away, with pub/restaurant, cafes and small shops, including a farm shop. NB.If you must have Caravan Club hygiene and facilities then this may not be for you.
Thoroughly enjoyed watching your recent videos whilst getting ready for work this morning. This content is so wholesome and an inspiring insight into your life! I’m a lover of Cornwall but only make it down once or twice a year so completely lusting over all the the scenery and nature content 😍
Ah thanks for the encouraging comment Emily. We feels very lucky to live here and enjoy sharing it with others. Hope we made your morning a bit more peaceful.
20:09 the second and third lifeboat stations of Polpeor Cove in view there. The second is an amazing construction given how exposed it is there. The ramp feels huge when you stand near it.
Maybe check out their website or give them a call. I didn’t see any caravans there when I was there and to be honest it doesn’t seem set up for caravans but not having a caravan myself I wasn’t really looking for caravan facilities. The road through the site to the plots is very narrow. I doubt a caravan would fit. Give them a call though and check as it is a really lovely site
Sadly we don’t have a dog anymore so it wasn’t something I specifically asked about. There was a lot of animals running around so if they are allowed I think they would need to be on leads the whole time but that’s pretty standard for campsites I guess. It should be listed on their website. Highly recommend going
We have just stayed at henry's campsite for a couple of nights , yes there was some dogs on site , just make sure they don't roam around on their own , there is a family of ducks live on the campsite that like to walk around when let out , always keep your dog under control and you should be ok
It’s an interesting question that is asked quite a lot of the roof tent forums. When booking online I often don’t know what category to put it in as some don’t want vehicles in the tent field so I can’t put it down as that and others done want tents of any description in the caravan and van fields. I usually ring and explain the set up and they book me in accordingly. I usually fit into the pricing tariff of a van
@@stovesincoves9417 I did see that some sites were saying their insurance only covered motorhomes and caravans, but I suspect that is more to keep out Transit vans with a mattress in the back.
