I have the harbor freight loppers. They are heavy and the only way I am able to can keep them extended is with tape. That said, they are best for large limbs since they are ratcheting. Keep the blade on the bottom side of cutting and when they start to feel stuck pull back slightly so they move to the next ratchet position. This makes for very little effort to cut through a large limb. I also have smaller Fiskars loppers that are light and cut so smoothly. Harbor Freight loppers were $15. Handy to have around when the limb is too large for my Fiskars.

I bought these loppers at Tractor Supply a few years ago. I was so excited to get them and they are still going strong.

My husband bought these at Costco and my son immediately took it to his sister's house to do yard work. I might have to buy another one. Not sure I'm getting it back!

I bought these and loved them, they really do cut easily. I sadly broke them. One of the jaws is plastic and it snapped. Having said that I would still recommend them, I think I was cutting branches that were too big and if you use them for lighter work I can see them lasting a long time.
