Cher Li thank you for the feedback! We had the same thoughts but ultimately decided to go down the route of chaos 😂 we’ll take this into account for future episodes 🥰
I love the concept, this could potentially be the new "Worth It" I just feel like there needs to be some kinks worked out for it to get to that level. Glad to see more of Jasmine videos tho!
See that’s interesting. There’s a HiroNori Ramen in Long Beach near me and to be honest, I wasn’t wowed by their Tonkatsu. But I LOVED their miso ramen.
Rakkan Ramen’s new “Spicy Quartz” is some of the best ramen broth I’ve ever had. Rich, delicious, and a bit of some fresh garlic and their spicy sauce and it is so damn good. Blows the spicy garnet out of the water. Also, Hiro Nori in north Long Beach and Irvine is entirely worth the trip. Hands down best chashu of anywhere I’ve ever been-melts in your mouth with an incredible sear and deep rich taste from the marinade. The tonkotsu is indulgently rich, and the shoyu is so flavorful yet light. Totally go there if you can.
Currently in LA after watching this video a few months ago and I agree the Tokushima ramen (same as what you had) at Men Oh was the best I've had in LA so far - especially the egg.
There's plenty of quality places where you can a basic bowl (noodles, broth, pork) for $8 for a small or $10 for a large. But yeah to get a fully loaded bowl with all the toppings will be $12-16.
Y'all went to Sawtelle for Tatsu and Daikokuya?? Tsujita and Tsujita Annex are a block away and both are easily contenders for best Ramen in LA. Tatsu/Daikokuya's only redeeming value is being open later than the Tsujitas.
Tsujita is awful. If that's what you LA people like (and the lines show that), then it's clear they make ramen that suits the local palate. My wife and I hated it.
anyone else notice that in the places that lost they mostly shared the ramen whereas in the winning places they each had their own, almost like it was pre decided
We have maggi in India (instant noodles) and that is the closest thing to ramen here. Would have loved to see how a professional chef prepares a traditional ramen! AND HOW CAN YOU EAT ALL THOSE NOODLES IN ONE DAY!?! 😂
So this is what tasty is going with for their video 2.0 version? Hipster travel food shows? Eater and others have that down already. What else you got because this is not to much of a step up from those re re re re uploaded food compilation videos.
Rakkan is good, broth, noodles but their meat lately has been chewy with nerves or something. Their pork buns and hot sauce is pretty delicious though.
In my opinion this video is so weird, this just looks like how “worth it” and “telephone taste test” combined (and also a little try guys over here), the new girl is kinda annoying. And the fact that they didn’t really put 100% look or really reviewing those ramen is disappointing because we as the audience can’t keep up and they seemed like they just eat for fun and not for a good content. I appreciate this new ideas but sorry...
