Quite possibly the most beautiful Yellowstone footage I’ve ever seen...absolutely stunning! It’s obvious to see how much work you invested in putting this video together. Thank you for sharing.
Amazing and beautiful wilderness! Breathtaking scenery all around. I loved all the wild flowers and their colours. I really enjoyed seeing everything you compressed into 2 hours 10 minutes!
Thank you for your videos. This is possibly the most beautiful scenery I've ever seen. I was gasping in awe at the vistas you saw and, thankfully, filmed for the rest of us.
I saw your interview with the Australian reporter, Jarl. You said, if I understood well, your favourite hike in America was in the Yellowstone National Park, with the Tetons, the Overlook Pass etc... So I visioned it again. Wherever you walked : an amazing scenery. Your comments are pretty, We can feel your great love and admiration for wild nature. And Joey is a sympathetic companion. See you again next Sunday with the following of your Scandinavian Fantaisie !
Ah, so you found that podcast? Thats cool, it is an Australian podcast. How did you find it? Yes, I think Greater Yellowstone is my favorite place I have been, Joey put me on to it and I loved it, so remote and wild.
You always deliver! Awesome! I have really enjoyed watching you and Joey on this adventure. I have watched some of your previous videos several times especially when I feel boxed in and not my best...the beauty in your videos calm me and give me a little mental freedom. I know I will watch your Yellowstone journeys several times as well. Thank you again for sharing! Truly awesome!
You are soooo kind, thank you so much, I am very happy to hear my videos provide escape and relief from the real world, really awesome, thanks again for all your support Tracy!
This video transcends videography to the level of cinematography! An absolutely amazing adventure. It's been about 18 or 20 years since I've been back in the Younts Peak area, this film makes me want to head back out there again. Very impressive!
I just stumbled across this video and i'm SO HAPPY i did! I grew up near yellowstone, but it's been over 20 years since i was able to go back. It brought back such amazing memories and feelings...i remember the freshness of the air when you are that high, and how amazing it smells in August! you picked just about the best time of year to see it all and I'm so happy you filmed it so i could feel like i got to go walking along with you and enjoying the breathtaking beauty and everything! it almost made me cry. Thank you for sharing it!!!!
Having backpacked there three or 4 times in the 80’s I didn’t forget how stunning it was, just was a little faded into memory until your spectacular video. You guys put some miles and elevation on this trip. Both of you are strong hikers! Keep up the great video’s. Like to see you get to glacier national park, the Bob Marshall wilderness and Banff in Canada. Those would be spectacular with your fabulous film work! Look forward to your next adventure where ever that might be.
Stunning Cinematography along with your commentary just Awesome. Thanks for taking us along on this incredible journey. A bit about Yellowstone River Headwaters: "The Yellowstone River begins south of Yellowstone Park as snowmelt on Younts Peak in the Teton Wilderness Area. Tiny rivulets merge to form defined creeks which become the South Fork and the North Fork. They join together on the west side of Younts Peak to officially become the Yellowstone River. From there the river runs northward through the Thorofare Region to Yellowstone Park. Although it’s at a fairly high elevation, the terrain here is relatively flat and open. This made it a popular access route for Native Americans and early trappers who named it the Thorofare.".... Montanahikes / yellowstone river gives an excellent description of the Yellowstone River's route eventually joining the Missouri River.
Nice to see an expanded edition of your adventure with 'my own frontier's' Joey Coconato. Although the whole journey is beautiful from start to finish, my favorite part is the meadow below Overlook mountain and your climb to the summit with stunning 360 views. Safe travels my friend.
I have visited Yellowstone and Teton National park when my children were young, we stayed mostly in tourist attraction area which we all enjoyed very much and now thanks to you by posting this amazing video I came to know that we did not see much of this most beautiful park and need to go back there again.
Incredible video. Thank you for capturing the beauty of the greater Yellowstone area. We own a cabin 30 minutes from the Park. You video reminds me how lucky we are!
You will find this to be the days leading up to a trip you might be familiar with, I thought of making it a short sighseeing video of Yellowstone National Park but got the idea of making it into a full evening for new viewers:-)
@@NorwegianXplorer Your recent Teton Wilderness trip was incredible. Any plans to hit up the Uinta Highland Trail in UT? That’s another through hike that’s high on my list.
@@NorwegianXplorer our ranch is in Clovis California, but we stay at The Diamond P Ranch in West Yellowstone Montana. I grew up around horse & as I got older, all the years of sports, skiing, football, wrestling, motorcycle racing had taken its toll. So riding was the option I still had. There are many times I get off & walk till I can’t an then I ride some more.
Awesome! Keep these coming! Watching your uploads has become part of my morning and lunch routine while eating and enjoying nature through your videos! Thank you so much for sharing! :)
Hei, Thanks for the new movie. Lately, I've only been watching your and Joey's videos. You are wonderful ! Thank you , again. Many Greetings from Bucharest!
Yellowstone was named for the yellow rock near the lower falls, which I find really cool. My family has a cabin near Cooke city, glad you were able to visit! Still one of my favorite places on earth.
“What’s that brown streak Joey? And not the one on your pants.” OMG! I almost fell off the treadmill when I heard that! Another amazing video Jarl - truly breathtaking country. That valley with all the waterfalls was spectacular!
Beautiful video with spectacular views of nature....but it was a lot of hard work on your part. Thank you for letting me feel I did a virtual hike. 🌷🌻🍄🌲
I e never been to Yellowstone but play a game called Horizon Zero Dawn and some of the footage looks familiar. What’s a strange sensation. Beautiful footage thank you for showing us these places ❤️
Nydelig video. Har aldri slått opp teltet lenger enn 50 meter fra bilen når jeg har vært i området, men må kanskje prøve noe nytt neste gang. Veldig inspirerende, mange takk.
I was thinking to myself Yarl are you crazy overwhelm me with all this mindblowing beauty again 2hour video? No... thankfully just 10 minutes intro =DDD
Haha, yes, I was thinking of releasing this before the main trip, but I decided on attaching the main trip to this so new viewers could take in the whole thing if they are so inclined:-)
@@NorwegianXplorer Right, I know what is your and Joey's secret of filming your hikes that come out so extraordinary, thats because you do it for your pleasure without pressure. No stress, you kind of do it leisurely rather than like a job. At your own pace =D
Gonna have to watch this one in two or three installments and looking forward to something besides election, hurricane and pandemic news coverage. Last time I was in Cooke City it was 14 below in the dead of winter when my wife and I spent Christmas 2008 at Mammoth Hot Springs. Nice to see they do have a summer, short as it may be.
1:10:15 I do the same thing, and sometimes feel like a cat walking in circles before laying down! Maybe cats do that for the same reason?;) Amazing video, thanks for making and sharing these.
Jarl, love your videos...greater Yellowstone area and Joey typically combine for epic adventures. I'm thinking this area is going to be my 2022 backcountry destination. Did you use any printed map(s) for your route finding or just AllTrails?
Yes, it WILL be a random comment 🤦🏻♀️, but... ...at 21:00 minutes, the captions on my TV wrote “Applause” 😱🤣🤣🤣 My. Thoughts. Exactly. 🤣🤣👏👏👏👏👏 And just FYI, since I’m on a threadmill running, I let the all your ads play through to help your channel a little bit as much as it has helped me! Thank you!!! 🙏🏼🙏🏼
Norwegian Xplorer Yep, that was my thought, going back after the workout! Haha it sounded like the trees rustling and water running haha Awesome nature, awesome CREATION, whether mankind will recognize it or not 🤷🏻♀️ Thank you!!
Really enjoy your content, its really good stuff. Question for you, how do you use music on iTunes or spotify without copy write issues? Thanks again for the good content.
@@NorwegianXplorer Well there you go... Ha... I love the music so much and it fits perfect. I subscribe to Envato Elements and Epidemic sound and neither of them have this good kind of music. Love you content and music.
I would of loved to of seen some overnight footage in the dark Was it too dangerous to walk around at night filming? I know its probably pitch black but I love night footage...
Not really, this is a trip you have to figure out on your own if you want to do it, I think there are quite a few markers in my video that will get you started. Tri County Lake, Ferry Lake, Marston Pass, Younts Peak, Thorofare Creek, Open Valley etc. Rampart Creek is the trickiest part, just a lot of bushwacking off trail for a couple of days.
Paul Petzolt always taught that every day on trail you should look like it's your first day out. Sorry, Joey's torn pants just show disrespect for the sport, at least roll them up!
