We found this RARE COLLECTIBLE just sitting at the thrift store! 

Inventor of mad balls went to school here in Swanton, Ohio….my mil was his art teacher!

I’m 65. When I was a little girl I remember my mother won some kid of raffle around Christmas time. I had to of been only 5 so it’s over 60 years ago. It was a Giant one of those mesh stockings filled with toys and candy. For years after my parents displayed it on the wall up the stairway until a time when it was no more. Now I wonder what could of happened to it. Wonder, just wonder if in some wonderful vintage antique shop or in someone’s attic if any of those super big stockings survived! I know when your small things look big but this actually was. I distinctly remember it taking up the entire wall. Happy hunting out there ladies!❤

Thomas Dam a Danish woodcutter designed the original troll doll. He carved it from wood for his daughter, in the late 50’s ,too poor to buy her a toy. The rarest troll dolls are those carved wooden dolls. By the early sixties they were very popular in the USA.

Those mesh Christmas stockings have continued to be made and sold for dog and cat Christmas toys. I often buy one for my cats. I don't know if they have been sold for any other purpose in the past couple of decades, but retro vintage Christmas seems to be big this year so maybe that is why we are seeing those again in stores other than the pet stores.

It's pretty crazy that the Madballs cup sat in it's packaging for 37 years! I wonder where it was all these years.

Those stockings remind me of the ones you find it the pet stores this time of year. They fill them with treats and toys. I bet the Santa was on top of the stocking keeping it together.

My brother had my pet monster, the garbage pail kids cards, the madballs balls and the madballs VHS, we watched it all the time. My favorite was the girl madball with the high pitch vocals always swinging her hair around 😂😂😂

Those mesh stockings were a big part of my childhood at church in the 1960s ❤ My mom told me years later that my Dad was the one who purchased several 100 for the children in our Congregation which would be given out at the Christmas party from Santa. So I know that was 1960-1967 for sure and most likely in the 1950s. We moved in 1967 so that was all the mesh stockings I ever got from Santa 😂 Each stocking had the same items: some hard wrapped candy & little toys. I remember it always had that woven thing that if you stuck 1 finger into each end - your fingers were stuck until you figured out to push fingers towards each other to release 😮 That panel with the hole punched near the top went over the top of the stocking and was stapled together until you removed it yourself! Hallmark made a mini replica a few years back that I purchased and hang on one of my mini trees each year now 😊

Those mesh stockings are reproductions and they are sold by Kenberma Products, Inc. They can be found with a quick search. But nevertheless, they are cool and would look great holding your vintage toys. I’m currently working on making Halloween versions. EDIT: Awesome Madballs score!!!

I was 9 when that cup came out and I am so damned jealous!!! Just wanted to let you young folk know that, even if they were marketed as "boy toys" all us girls were into all the icky/sarcastic character stuff at the time. We were snarky as heck.

I have that photo album, bought in 70 or 71 when I got a Polaroid for Christmas.

We have a 2 foot Fiber Optic tree, my mother in law bought it in 2003 so it's 20 years old very fun this piece I won't part with it unless my daughter, wants it which I'm sure she will keep.

Love the Cowboy riding the ostrich plush from Rudolph. I'm always on the hunt for them. I remember the Madballs. That was a great find. I love Jennine's face when she sees something great. And when she has something in her hand, and you ask about it, and she tries to walk away, lol. Ya'll are so fun to watch.

Hi ladies! Just commenting on the mesh stockings. Just my opinion but when I first saw them I thought reproductions. My thought was the stockings had goodies in them, the person carefully removed the cardboard pieces that were on the stockings and kept it thinking someday it will be collectible. Than they cleaned house one day and thought 💭….just get rid of it. ???🤔🤔 And the stockings ended up at the thrift store??? I so much enjoy your channel and always anticipate the future video!!
