I disagree. I'd say the movie is about totalitarianism and alienation, as the stories were never a set of beliefs, but artificially constructed instructions used by a persecuted people to hide themselves from an opressing enemy. The movie even alludes to it when Meechee says she didn't want to disprove what was known, but add to it.

I took my babysitting kids to see this in theatres and at the very least, I was surprised that it had the balls to be pretty obviously anti-religion. Extra funny because the kids I watched were raised super Christian. Felt like I was subtly exposing them to my atheist ways 😂

The movie definetely didn't have any of those kind of messages. It is pretty clear the message is about alienation and totalitarianism instead, as the stones were never any set of beliefs, but methods the yeti leaders found of keeping their people away from humanity and their dangers. That's like saying 1984 is anti-religion because it warns against propaganda or something.
