That's called an Oxbow Lake. Lots of them up and down the Missouri and Mississippi Rivers. Some are several miles long and wide. Need to go out there in the Winter with a Weed Dragon and get those Thorns to burning on those trees. The oil in them they burn fairly readily if you start liw, the flames will climb up the tree. I don't like Thorny Locust. Good firewood but that's all. The dead trees are mostly Ash. Emerald Ash Borer Beetle. Fast little Green bugs that are in pallets from overseas. They're wiping me out on Ash trees.

Looks better now. I think five years is too long to go on grandma's pond. She needs more attention than that.

Take that walnut & sell it then buy something for your Grandparents. The bark on that tree looked like an Elm they just die.

I worked for a school system in south Florida. We were not allowed to kill bees if they showed up on a campus. We had to call the company that handled bees. About 7 or 8 years ago the rep from that company told us that Florida was now considered to be 100% Africanized, and if we encountered bees we should just kill them. I retired in 2018, so I don't know if that situation has changed or not.

Just think how many rifle stocks are in that walnut.

It’s probably old school & a lot of starts & stops but why can’t you put a sickle bar mower on one of your smaller John Deere tractors 3 point hitch?? the sickle bar would mow between/ under the fence post,, you would just haft to re-adjust after each section. but a sickle bar would be better than retro fitting a mini

If that pond is as green as it appears on video I highly doubt it has any fish in it. The algae lowers oxygen levels in the water to below what's needed for a healthy fish population. It needs to be treated gor algae and cleared when it dies off.
