12:30 speed runners use this to get on the scarab before the enemies have AI. Generalkidd also used it to go to the secret door spawned outside the map.
@@chonkychief1400 I miss bungie, they really encouraged fans to get creative and try stuff like this. They would even leave easter eggs for us outside of the map
Meh even if these exploits/glitches/Easter eggs have been found already it's nice to have a new video going back to them to show us. It's not like people can't make videos on them after they were already found on halo 3s release 15 years ago
Something as a kid I discovered which isn’t much in the grand scheme of things but was cool as a kid in the level covenant at the start of the level when you take down the air assault wraiths and the pelican drops the mongoose and warthog you can jump off the top of the warthog and jump in the pelican and would fly you to the back of the map.
God I can’t wait for the PC release. Halo 3 is my all time favorite. No annoying “advanced movements”, refined version gameplay from Halo 2 (less exploits), and that sense of completion and satisfaction that comes with the story.
I’m actually really surprised you guys didn’t know about that part of The Storm... me and my friends spent hundreds of hours doing this and the only maps we didn’t break out of was Crows nest and cortana! Crazy. On floodgate there is a section you can just straight up jump over the fence and explore all the out of bounds areas behind there. Good job guys!
i love how you guys jave played these halos over and over and yet seem to enjoy them over and over it makes me want to try all these challenges as well, keep it up love you guys
When I was younger back in the glory days of Halo 3 there was a rumor that if you got through that door you would get recon armor. Tried for hours. Turns out it doesn't work.
You probably know this but in the area where you use the phantom to fly past boundaries (5:00) if you go in theatre mode and fly toward the bottom part of the map somehwre there's a bullet and on the back of it I think it says John or 117. It's been maybe 7-8 years since I've seen it though so no clue whether it's in MCC.
15:26 scaling the wall to the right of that gate is how you get up to see that door up close that you couldn't jump the gap to. I'll let you figure out how to break through the invisble wall tho, GeneralKidd made a video on it. Years ago me and the boys made that door into a religion that is still alive today. The chosen ones make pilgrimage to our lord Gate every year so that He may welcome us into Gatehalla
This is how I spent an entire summer vacation as a kid, just trying to get out of the map on every mission and multiplayer map. It all started in the halo 3 beta where you could fly a banshee to space on Valhalla.
I really hope that Infinite doesn’t have invisible barriers. I think that’s a lot of reasons why Halo 2 is so timeless because you can just explore anywhere. The invisible barriers just make it so linear & confined.
I’m sure you know, but where you fight the scarabs on the covenant you can fly out to the smearing area at the back in a hornet and get above the skybox and see the hornets and banshees fighting in the background.
aw man thought the monolith found outside the map would be on the list, some people called it the grunt triforce, some people called it a monolith, I forget which map it was, if I could find the video that I watched years ago, I could tell you which campaign mission, it was an interesting one, it certainly had a picture of a grunt in a triangle and a specific piece of music plays too, this video doesn't seem to be searchable on RU-vid anymore, if I remember correctly, it has to do with the hidden music achievement on the level The Covenant but going further than the tutorials say, by going up that wall and going about some areas, you can find the picture of a grunt somewhere on a big monolith of metal type wall
Good to see this back, though the guys from HoldXtoTrick did this in MUCH more advanced stages about 12 years ago. Check their channel if you wanna continue this, there's some CRAZY glitches and boundary breaks in this game, so goodluck.
did you know that on floodgate if you break outside the map and go over to the crashed covenant ship there’s a skull there. it doesn’t do anything as far as i know but you can pick it up like it’s a regular skull
yeah I mean, remember all the fake skull and scarab gun videos from back in the day? I spent lot of time exploring these maps and searching for secrets, and that door on The Storm still seems significant to me if it has a proper place on the level and opens like that
12:46 I found that glitch when I was 7yo playing with my friend we would always try to find glitches and play with the giant "spiders" and also we would shoot the allies and make them try to kill us. FUN TIMES :(
When you have been back outside the map in the mission the ark all the way down the backside of the structure to the point you get dummy visual effects.
That area you got to at 13:00 was an old area I used to try to get the scarab gun through. I think that was what it was. There were video tutorials back in the day that included that door for Easter eggs or something like that. I know it’s something
That section on "The Storm" where you guys are trying to make your way across the edge on the building really had an aesthetic like a few levels of Jedi: Fallen Order.
There's actually this huge out of the map area is Sierra 117, where the skull is in the final section. When you guys do the elevator head jump glitch if you walk around a lot more (I think towards the sun) you'll see a HUGE cave in the ground.
Hey Rocket, Love your video about glitching out of the maps on Halo 3. I have a great glitch that might blow your mind, during the mission "The Ark" you can definitely go back to almost the start of the mission during the time you are fighting on the scarab, I know it doesn't make sense but I can gladly show it to you if you are interested about it. On sierra 117 if you walk across the railing that’s behind where you rescue Johnson and the marines you can get out of map and there’s like an entire area up there to explore that has a bunch of cool stuff to see including like this really awesome cave pit. You can only get up there by buddy jumping though.
sweet nobody found the secret door that opens yet !!! it's in the game that came with a metal case. has different levels/areas/scenes. it's not very far in the game. it's when the guys in the warthog get blown up by the flying guys in the tunnel turn right and there is a door that will open you just have to figure it out on how to open it been yrs since I've played halo 3 collectors edition!!!
I gave arbiter&chief moving company one star because they scratched my dresser with an energy sword, threw a plasma grenade into my fridge, and then T bagged my sofa.
For thr crows nest out of map thing. There is a simple jump ontop of the upper area where the overseers box (which ever you call it) walk arpund a corner. Jump over a beam and then jump ontop of the out of map area.
that glitch on floodgate that worked on the storm is one that me and my brother managed to do as kids when we were playing around, we did it on the storm level, i was amazed that id just found this little thing on my own without a friend telling me about it or something. back on the 360 those were the good days :'(
You can get back to that door from storm on floodgate by going right around the building just takes ages. I remember everyone calling that door a trigate back in the day like it was some mystery and not just preload
There is a very easy out of bounds glitch in Sierra 117, so i'm wondering if I missed out on the rules or something. At one of the skull locations at the very end of the map, if you jump ontop of eachother's head and then use the brute shot to lift you up the rest of the way with it's explosion, your partner then has to die so they get up there with you, then you do the same thing ontop of a rock, then once you guys are at the very top your partner has to kill themselves to respawn on the other side of the barrier, and then you guys are out of bounds. There's a lot of cool stuff OOB in Sierra 117 and it's a bummer you didn't show that.
With the crows nest elevator glitch can you not have one player in the elevator and another outside the elevator then have player in the elevator throw a grenade and kill himself just as the elevator goes down. Then have him respawn on you just before the game teleports you into the elevator.
I used to bash this game so hard i swear we did every single out the map glitch there was. The best was using the matchmaking games we would get a kill ahead and then hide in spots where the team could never find us. Oh the memories
On the first level, if u go to the far corner where the jackle snipers are perched and get out of bounds, u can walk out very far and find a pit full of faces all over its walls
i wonder for the door, if you had someone jump off and make it open then another jump after, if the 2nd person would be able to go through the open door and land on the dirt on the other side of that ravine? be cool to see.
theres a map break with scarab on the ark if you time so you fuel rod shot right as its leg comes up and hits you get launched to the otherside and on top of the wall
On some missions you can use the wings skull to go in the phantoms and they may take you out of the map it doesn't work on all missions just some hope this helps
