Hi, i am happy that you are making progress in your care, but i would like to point out some things i saw that you could change maybe? As you, i am still learning, in fact, having a parrot is a never ending learning proces, but i would be happy if you heard me out. First, think about getting a bigger cage. At least 80 cm long, betten 100 cm, so that he can flapp his wings when you are not at home. Second, get him natural wood perches, not plastic, not dowel perches. I actually make them by myself and it is really cheap. Just go into forest, find a suitable stick, properly desinfect is, drill a hole, put a screw and you are good to go! Also get him toys. Lovebirds are extremly inteligent and they need to forage and destroy. (i have two, know what i am talking about). If you can't get him proper toys in your country, like me, just make them. I use balsa wood, which you will find in every store that specifies at making small wooden plains, hope you know what i am talking about, am not a native speaker nor i live in english speaking coutry, so sorry for that. Anyway, another toys you can make are for example just wooden blocks (safe untreated wood!) and put them on the string. You can again just go out, pick up some branges, cut them, drill a hole, put on safe string and done. They love soft and hard materials. I am also using corn leaves and cork (from wine bottles, am gona check with my vet if it is really safe at my next appoitment). Just experiment with the types, if you make them by yourself, it doesn't cost almost nothing, if you reuse the screws atc. I love that you are trying to give him veggies, thats awesome! But the seed diet isn't really the best. I do not say don't give him seeds at all, it is just that in the wild bird fly reaaaly long just to get a couple of seeds or bearies and in captivity when we just give them the bowl of seeds they can't burn it down, no matter how long they fly in our house. There is not just one thing you have to feed your bird, but mostly seed diet is really not good. You can try pellets (but look for the ingredience closely, lot of them are aweful). Harrisons and TOPs are the best i know. And of course veggies.There is also another concept of giving the bird not processed food, which you will find in the pellets and more. Just look by yourself and see what you can get in your country and what suits you and your birds the best. Another thing, please DO NOT CATCH HIM IN YOUR HANDS LIKE THAT! Trust me, we have done it with our parrotlett and he hated hands since then. Sadly, he passed away last summer, but i have learned my lesson. Instead, gain his trust with trainig. You can train him even when he is in his cage, for example targeting, it will help your relationship in a long run and you will also create a language you both speak. Just get a clicker at your pet shop, treats he likes and go for it! Some chanels i have learned from in the past and i still do are FlockTalk, BirdTricks or LiveLoughtBirds. Just never stop learning. I have made a lot of the things you are doing now, but i have changed them and hve now beatiful bond with my two lovebirds. Take care, hope this helps❤

Also, so sorry for loss! Loki and your videos also inspired us to get a lovebird last year. Tick-tock is her name. She is a black-masked green love bird. It’s taken her a whole year to get close to us, we did not clip her wings. She watch us for months and finally one day she hopped on my shoulder. We are friends now! But she boxes with my finger and won’t let me pet her, just kisses. Thanks for you videos! ❤️Them!

Congratulations with your new lovebird. Please don’t cut his wings. I advise you to watch the you tube video from “flock talk, aggressive behavior and the importance of choice” . It has helped me a lot. Male lovebirds are not more aggressive than female’s. At least, that’s what I learned.

When i started watching your vids, we just "accidentally" adopted a young lovebird that was fully flighted. We placed him in a smaller room, and everyday, i'd let him out and interact with him. Only a few days later, he'd come to our heads on his own. Now, he likes to cling and climb on our shoulders and backs and he comes to us on his own will. What I'm probably trying to say is, lol, though training and bonding with a flighted bird is a bit of a challenge, i guess, it's not impossible. We knew nothing about birds when he got lost in our area (we looked for the owner but to no success) but now he's a member of the family. I appreciate videos like yours. I watched so many bird videos on youtube to learn how to take care of him. Thankfully, he's now a happy and healthy bird that loves to fly around the house but at the same time, knows and trusts us. 🙂

I Love his color! he's jest so pretty- all those names fit him well! but Loki will never leav you (: Trust me, However i always watched your vedios And I See your cousin's parrot has Plastic perches/ branches and Those are not good for birds feet it can cause bumble foot, And if im not wrong i see yellow plastic perch's in your lovebirds cage to And it can make serious foot problems So i Recommend putting natural branch and perchs (: u dont have to buy them it can be from the woods jest make sure its not toxic And i really recommend putting some shredding, and Foraging toys C: u dont need to buy them you can make it yourself using paper, and cupcake liners!! lovebirds love wood, seagrass, paper, cardboard toys ^^ but pleas avoid , rope, mirror toys! they are very dangerous

I've had 2 females (one bit relentlessly in spite of being hand raised and wouldn't let go, she drew blood a few times so a family member offered to take her, and he did). They could not be more different, the one we have right now doesn't like being held like this but tolerates it

I am not being nasty , I know you loved Loki so much and I learned so much from you that helped me bond with my beautiful lovebird, Chia, but...if anything good can come from Loki's death it will be that you have learned that wing clipping is not a good thing. Please, can you take down your video on why you clipped Loki's wings or at least tell people that you would not do it now, in light of what happened to Loki. I had this exact experience with my parrot. He was tame for a week and then was scared of me for a month. I never realized it though so I just waited till he got used it me and one day I came home from school and he let me touch him. Unfortunately he has grown up now and he doesn’t like one of my hands because I accidentally slapped him while I was doing my homework. I’m trying to get him to like my hand again though. Patience is the key

I have a Fisher too and I named him muffin I have a female Parblue fisher , and I named her Biscuit. Right ow they are both so intereste din my Christmas tree they just sit for hours next to it.

I bought two lovebirds Two weeks ago and I think they have trauma cuz what they saw in the "Friday Market" in egypt" the first day I got them I got so hyped about letting them flying in my bedroom And I regret it so much, I spent FIVE hours running to catch the female and then the other escaped too they hited the wall tried everything and after finally putting them in their cage I got depressed cuz ofc after all this shit trying to catch them I might have hurt them 🤣🤣🤣 now I'll NEVER let them fly out of their cage again 🤧
