It's really annoying to see people bashing someone they don't even know for going to a breeder instead of a shelter. Yes it's always good to adopt when you can but it should be your personal choice not forced upon you just because others condemn you for going to a breeder. Not everyone can adopt a dog I should know, I've tried adopting two dogs but was denied because of my fence height as someone previously said. Shelters in my area have nearly impossible standards which make it hard to adopt. Quit bashing someone for THEIR choice. If you don't like it move along.
Adorable Barney.❤️ We have had golden retrievers for 12 yrs. Brother and Sister Ollie and Purdy. Unfortunately we lost Purdy last year😢 Ollie is the most adorable loveable dog ever. Everybody loves him. He has his fluffy toy which he loves.......warning he did chew tails and leg off original toy and swallowed🤪 resulted in an operation. He is fine and has a new toy (IKEA) doggy which he carries around with him. We did cut the tail off just in case. Enjoy Barney he will make you laugh and cry🤣🤣. 😘

When I first left home, aged 18, I lodged with a husband and wife who owned two golden retriever boys, they were the most adorable dogs - in fact it's the only breed that the couple had owned, during their 30 years of having dogs! Barney was so cute when he saw himself in the mirror. 😍 I know you and Tom will be a brilliant mummy and daddy to little Barney, and I can't wait to follow his journey on his Instagram page, and obviously in your video's too. Absolutely gorgeous we wish we had a golden lab but we had a black Labrador who moults so bad golden don’t same family as retriever, we had him from 8 weeks he’s 10 this yr and he’s been a nightmare but started calming down as he’s getting older. He ate the walls in the kitchen, tore up countless beds they tear things apart it’s typical of the breed. Make sure you get proper training they are naughty but wouldn’t be without him. Enjoy 💖💖

Though adopting is a really good option we can spend our money how we want. I’m not saying that u are controlling what we buy but if people want to buy they can so please don’t make people feel guilty (intentionally or not.)
Aw Barney is so cute , we had a golden retriever ,Cooper from 10 weeks old to almost 13 years old we still miss him . They really become part of the family.

Cute and beautiful. I remember how worried they look when you first pick them up. Tip for the chewing, we were told about it when ours was a pup (if you didn’t already know) try half a carrot in the freezer over night, it relieves the gums from the teething. Just not sure from what age we did it.
Oh Freya Barney is adorable. So happy for you and Tom. I'd been following Rachel Fusaro on utube she has a strong history with knowledge of adopting homing and caring for dogs and puppies. She recently trained her mums puppy. She has some great tips you might find helpful, shes really great with training and covers so many aspects of caring for your pupper. Have a wee look. ❤❤❤
Hi freya watched your video this morning . Crying . Let me explain . I am so happy for you that you have barney he is so beautiful. And I wish you years of happiness with him . I had a golden retriever named jenny for 12 and a half years . She passed away in march . I am still so broken hearted . I got her at 8 weeks as well . She was the same colour as barney . . They are so loveable and loyal and the best breed around children. Also they are so clever. Please have a great life with her . But just remember you are now living in her house lol .
