We got a PUPPY | 6 week Yorkie Puppy 

Is not okay to get a puppy at 6 weeks but if you have a older female dog it’s okay but they don’t have a older dog

Even though the breeder is kind of in responsible i’m fine with it

It really depends. Normally the rule is 8 weeks but it really boils down to whether the puppy can eat regularly puppy food or not. Hence they need to stay on the tit till their teeth start to come in. Sometimes their teeth start to come in at 6 weeks. Don't be so quick to judge someone unless you know what you're talking about. My yorkie pup had teeth at 6 weeks old. I just chose to let him stay an extra 2 weeks because I had to go out of town any way. She really doesn't need a harness at that age because the pup shouldn't be on the ground outside till it's had all its shots and wormings. I hope you enjoy your puppy! He's beautiful!

@@mesidoe9788 that's awesome, mine is now 11 weeks old. And chewing up everything! Lol. The only thing I don't understand is I know my pup is full blooded but compared to my last yorkie I had my pup I have now looks so much different. Mainly the hair on either side of his snout is a lot shorter. The pup I use to have looked more like a yorkie because his hair grew longer. He had like a mustache/beard. And the hair on his ears stuck out longer. My pup now has short hair on his whole face and his head just looks to small for his body lol. I love him to death and wouldn't take anything for him. I just really liked the look of my other yorkie more. It's like mine now is more "furry" than having hair. But he's CKC registered and I have his paperwork so he has to be a pure bread.

My mom dogs have puppies and she even knew that but 6 weeks come on

I'm really sad hearing this I knew nothing about dogs and the breeder gave him to me at 6 weeks all he do is sleep he not eating either but he do like the soft chew treats I dont know what to do about feeding him any suggestions

Got my baby at 6 weeks and she’s doing amazing, the mother’s health was at risk if she kept feeding so it actually depends…I know another breeder that says 8 is too young she doesn’t send hers out until 12 weeks

@@mesidoe9788 That's the information I left off with and am patiently waiting till the pups are old enough. My Yorkie died last December and I miss him really bad. He was my cats personal trainer.

The latest information I got is the puppy should be 12 weeks old before ready for a people home. I have a breeder selected and will go and visit next week and go back in July to get 1 or maybe 2 of the Yorkie babies.. I thought it would be nice to have 2 of them keep each other company when I got to work.

Hey you seem to be really knowledgeable about puppies can I ask you some questions I got a 6 week old puppy from a bad breeder and I want to make sure he’s going to be okay

I got mine at 8 weeks i tried all of those all of them and nothing she wont eat so im giving her the high calorie paste for now and she only eats certain foods like boils chicken with carrots she seems to only wanna eat that but nooooo dried food 😔😔

Have you heard about milk supplements? They sell it at the pet store 🙄 she will be fine my mom got her dog at 3 weeks old because the mom was trying kill the babies and guess what? She is 7 years old now! Very healthy happy dog never have any health issue at all! Age doesn’t matter as long as you know how to take care of a baby pup!

@@videoeditzzz6938 well but some people like to enjoy the puppy stage as much as they possibly can, puppies grow so fast and you can’t never go back so I think there’s nothing wrong with it. I have done it before, a lot of people have done it before, you just gotta have the time and love for them.

No they don’t the moms stop weaning at 3 weeks old and by 6 weeks they’re completely weaned. They need to stay with mom and litter until at least 8 weeks old for socialization and mental development

No it’s not if you’re a breeder then you should under the socialization and mental development they need from 6 weeks to 8 weeks is crucial. It has nothing to do with if they’re nursing or not and if you haven’t done even the most basic research on puppy development maybe you shouldn’t be breeding 🙄

How is she now? We just got ours at exactly 6 and it might be possible to give him back for 2 weeks, although the breeder is a bit far and my parents say it's unnecessary

I have to let mines go at 6 weeks because we have parvo in the home😢. I would rather they leave at 8 weeks , but then I would run risk of them most definitely catching parvo. We had another litter that was fine at 6 weeks , but due to me not letting them go at that age,When I finally did let them go at 8 weeks, they ended up catching parvo.
