I cannot wait until you get early access and we can see every aspect about this pack. It feels like it’s taking forever for them to give out early access. Is that just me?

My favorite part is the “The dude’s old,” part. That cracks me up every time I hear it.

I like that it seems like if one sim dislikes pranks, they'll react poorly to being pranked, but if they like pranks, they'll find it funny. Instead of every sim reacting the same way. That's the kind of personality building I'm game for!

That voiceover guy was great! I love his voice and the way he told the story! Family dynamics should have already been part of the game, I hope there are more fun things to do. We need things to do.

This hits close to home. Today we are babysitting our 9 year old grandson and 10 month old granddaughter. She is so much right now. Crawling, pulling herself up.... finding the dogs water and splashing in it. He is trying to do his own thing and giving us side eye when she needs a diaper change. LOL Art imitating life or life imitating art?

I am very interested to see if we get a update on family trees? The family trees are so messy and this would be a great opportunity to fix it!

I do believe Family dynamics should come with the base games., but I honestly want more family content like extended families like cousins, aunties, etc., but I can not wait! 3 weeks seems like a long time... I am so impatient. I just hope that it doesn't be buggy! Or broken. 😩😩.

I feel like the pack is going to be a bit lacking, it seems the relationship system is the main gameplay feature, and it’ll probably be broken half the time.

the dynamics part is going to be so helpful for sims families with not-so-happy dynamics, creating your actual family, etc

I'm dying to know what the aging up conditions are going to be for 100 babies for the infants stage. I love my 100 baby challenge (at 75), and I want to continue to 200 when infants come out.

Apologies to console users, I've been there. But the "early bird" items have had CC made of them so if you didn't buy the packs early enough to get the past Cottage Living and High School Years pre-order bonus items, you can download them. I recently asked about them on a sims 4 mod subreddit and people confirmed those exist as CC and will continue to be made, so no stress about missing those items if you can't fork over $40 when the pack comes out!

As exited as i am its so annoying that we'll have to pay 40 dollars for something that should just be basegame...like parenthood the game play shouldve been base game and the pack could've been more in depth and build items..

It was the baby pulling themselves up onto a chair that made me cry and blowing raspberries on their belly while grandpa held them. I'm just beside myself still about it 😂😭💜

I am actually underwhelmed. Like the new compatible system looks cool but it seems like they didn't even do any effort in introducing new jobs. Daycare? Nanny job? I honestly feel that's a big missed oppertunity. It also lacks strollers, walking canes, learning how to swim, how to drive a car, boarding schools, ... For a family themed pack it sure lacks a LOT of family oriented aspects. The relationship part should be basegame.

I would love to see that we could choose the difficult and joker things for best friends and enemies because that would really help the game play

We don't have a way to directly set expanded family members in CAS that don't live with you but there is a way around it. For instance if you want to have grandparents, I usually just use create another sim based off genetics (a parent of the parent), then delete them, and it'll automatically set the relationship with the child to grandchild. Same with aunts or uncles, just create a sister or brother for the parent then delete them and it'll show the relationship as niece/nephew.

It feels so RIGHT that you were a part of this pack. I'm so happy for you, Kayla! Years of championing for this and now its here!!

Y’all are so pressed. This isn’t “just all that we’re getting”, this gameplay trailer shows the main stuff, not all of it. AND while yes compatibility should be in the base game, it’s too late now to do that so this is the next best thing. What do you want them to do, scrap the whole pack and you don’t get any of the other features? Be thankful it’s actually coming to the game.

I am in a state of euphoria. I don't care how disappointed every else is being this is MY THING. It may not seem like much to some of yall but some of us are BEGGING for this. We need our diverse families. I must make my sims work for who they want to get along with I hate choosing the best friend as the go-to marriage option. I'm really excited 3 weeks is too long

Thanks for your reaction video to this trailer. You brought up features I missed watch it myself. I hope when you do release your video on the lots you built, we get to see the progression in building the world as well. I like seeing how the gurus construct new worlds in the Sims.

This pack seems like it’s paying attention to past gameplay. Like the memory system in sims 2, and the social compatibility in sims 3.

I really hope the dynamic feature has the ability to evolve depending on your gameplay. So that two Sims can "grow out" of a difficult dynamic (eg. two kids may not like eachother as kids, but grow closer as they age) or grow apart if they haven't been in touch for a while for whatever reason. That would make the dynamics actually dynamic and variable based on gameplay.

The part where the child is with the sleeping bag, seems like he is staying with his grandpa at his house? Maybe when you click the suitcase it says "visit for (amount) of days" or something like that. This maybe will allow you to stay at somebody's house and be able to live there without the homeowners getting angry at you for using the facilities.

I'm loving a lot of the furniture and wallpapers and stuff, and I'm so excited for the game play!

I love how they incorporated the grandpa in this instead of just the parents and children. I grew up with my grandparents in the household with so many memories with them. It’s so much more realistic. I hope cousins and aunts/uncles will be part of it too.

I'm pretty sure that chevron wallpaper is new too. I think I've seen a similar one for simmers who have bowling stuff, but as someone who does not have that and is all to familiar with basegame, I'm almost positive that it's new

It seem to become the Sims that I learned to love when I started playing as a child. Okay maybe these features already exists in one of the updates, my computer has been broken for like 3 years so I haven't played in a while (a new one on the way!). But, last time I played The Sims 4, relationship building was really easy, or it was the same no matter which sims hung out. Which was super boring gameplay! I knew what would happen next, always. In The Sims 1 you had to watch it. You put two sims in a hot tub, they start to discuss something, all of suddenly someone goes "I love hiking!" and the other goes "Ugh, hiking, that's boring!" and they loose relationship, so you had to interfere and change topic and try to find something they had in common. I remember setting up goals, this sim should go with that sim, and sometimes those goals were super difficult to achieve and sometimes it was really easy, and I loved that variation! Sometimes I had to give up, you know these two sims aren't meant to be. This trailer gives me hope for The Sims 4!

The household relationship options were different for the mom and the grandpa vs the kid and the baby; I wonder if that is dependent on life stage or if things like personality and strength of friendship affect what options are available. Or maybe its just dependent on what their relationship type is (ie. the kid has options with his brother that are more sibling-like than the father-daughter relationship between the mom and grandpa)

finally some social compatibility like back in sims 3!! That’s so exciting ! I’m wondering if it will play the same or have the same effect rather than just be something we work off of imaginatively

this is precisely what I want in the sims, this is basically the sort of thing I tried to cultivate using parenthood. their eldest son had a strained relationship with his father but their other two sons had a much closer relationship (I wanted the family to feel like as the eldest son he had a lot more pressure put on him) but he had a close relationship with his mother

I honestly love the double meaning of the name growing together as in we're both growing up and as in we're growing closer

The gameplay felt very lacking though, feels more like a game pack not an expansion.

The second I saw the video all I was thinking was “holy shit” and “wait until Kayla sees this” lmao

I especially don't like that the "early-purchase content" is often things that are categorized as base game and fill a niche that base game doesn't have, but are impossible to get if you don't buy the pack quickly enough. Cottage Living had the "base game" bike, and this one has a toddler slide that you could only get with toddler stuff previously.

why are they dragging this out for so long....I can't stay excited much longer
