We Got Chased By a Tornado!

I live in Wisconsin which is unofficially part of Tornado Alley and a couple of years ago, there was a huge storm system that moved through the city my parents and I live in, I'm talking tornado sirens blaring and our phones going off with the alert that we were under a tornado warning. We took shelter in the basement and at one point the power went out and stayed down for like two or three days. The storm was so severe that it straight-up pulled several large trees almost completely out of the ground in our neighborhood up like the trees at 19:13 and despite everyone in the city going "Holy crap, we got hit by a tornado" (something that's very rare for our part of the state) the powers that be said that we didn't get hit by a tornado and it was just super strong winds. Nah dog, it was a tornado. Granted, it was only like an EF-0 tornado so barely a tornado but after seeing the damage from this video and thinking back to the storm system we had pass over us and how there was similar damage, it just further cements my belief that we got hit by a tornado because how could a plain ol' thunderstorm pull up trees like that?

Me and my family was near the tornado under the Oklahoma one in the middle of the night. We live near the Dallas area and our town was hit directly, just a couple miles north of us, homes and stores were destroyed, a bunch of people made fundraisers and trying to help bring their homes back. I have no Idea why but our town has been In MANY MANY MANY, severe storms involving tornadoes, and we always felt we were protected by some bubble because the tornadoes would always just go out of the way of us. And It was crazy that, THAT GIANT supercell that was connected to the 2 Oklahoma tornadoes, 3 North Texas tornadoes, and I think a couple Arkansas tornadoes. It’s crazy that we were one of the only towns that were directly hit and nobody died. Edit: the sirens finally went off AFTER the tornado went by, I was watching a live streamer talk about it and they said our town name and if we were there to take cover because we were going to be hit by the tornado, I woke my parents up but they thought I was just freaking out. So I kept nagging them until my mom finally saw the radar and we went into the closet. So I basically saved my family from a tornado 😂. But my dad kept freaking out because of the power flashes 😂.

We've grown from only Minecraft videos to straight tornado hunting. We've come one heck of a long way

just a general tip of advice (if you didn't know this already), at 17:27, those are called power flashes. These are powerlines / transformers blowing up because of the tornado. If you see power flashes, that's how you know that there is a tornado on the ground. The difference between lightning and power flashes are with power flashes they only light up portions of the sky, can be a different colour and you can see where the powerflash came from directly.

Nocturnal tornadoes are even more dangerous and deadlier because they happen under cover of darkness, and people often don't know they are coming or can't see them. It also makes it harder to receive warnings, assess the danger and take protective action. The only way to see a nocturnal tornado is by the flash of lightning.
