Haven’t even watched the whole thing yet but I’m here to share something with you. I’ve been here since the very beginning. Since before the second donut; since the briiiight eyeshadow and the big chunky necklaces; since the Freida Kahlo obsession days; since before the divorce; since the dating and finding Parker days; and now to marrying the love of your life. It may not seem like a long time but to me, it feels like a lifetime of being “friends” with a beautiful and inspiring woman like you - and I couldn’t be happier that you’ve found your forever. Dani, I'm sad that I don't get updated when you post, but this video came up today and I guess it was a the perfect time. I'm about to be 34, sitting here in my empty 3 bedroom house.... Never married, never had kids. Successful in my career. .... yet still wonder why I'm not enough for someone to sweep me off my feet an commit to me. I decided 2020 was going to be my year to really put myself out there and date until I found my other half.... then here comes COVID to throw all of that out the window! The few dates I have been on were great, but somehow they always lead to NOTHING. I've been laying on my couch this weekend feeling sorry for myself as yet ANOTHER good date has gone M.I.A. Your speech at the beginning and end of the video has got me in tears, but also feeling hopeful that maybe it's just not my time yet. I needed that reminder. I wanted to elope, I didn't. My mother in law made it clear it wasn't acceptable in their family. I threw together a wedding I didn't want. Spent money I didn't want to spend. It wasn't enjoyable for me. I still regret it, and almost resent her at times for it. I'm proud you didn't get pressured in to it.

Dani. I needed your speech about getting through the rough parts of life to get to the good. Just moved to a new country to finally move in with my over 3year long distance boyfriend. Now I‘m in a new city and can‘t find work during corona (I‘m an event photographer and the job relies hugely on connections plus events actually happening). My financial situation is really bad and I miss my friends back home. Today I was in a really bad giving up and climbing into bed kind of mood. And then your speech pulled me out. Thank you.

I’ve been waiting for this video since you last weekend vlog! 🥰🥰🥰 I secretly eloped w my late husband on 9/6/13 in Vegas where I wore white hot pants. It’s was the best day ever! We didn’t tell anyone but we had a “wedding” w family and friends on 9/6/14. And that day was amazing!!! It’s true that the best things in life aren’t easy. My marriage wasn’t easy but it was so worth it!! Having my husband in heaven is hard as I am only 45. I still love him deeply and I still believe in love. Thank you. I’ve spent the majority of my last 30+ years regretting a break up when I was a teenager. Thought he was my soulmate that only hindsight let me realize. Then he suddenly died in February and not until this moment did I realize that life and my choices didn’t happen to me. They happened for me. God has me where I’m supposed to be.

The statement necklaces, the pregnancy journey, the divorce, the dating (several heart attacks with that), finding this Parker dude, thinking “hmmm, maybe”, the surgery, the moving in, the moving out...everything. I’m literally just at the beginning of the video and it already relates. This past weekend, my aunt outed me to my family and they do not approve. I have been there for them whenever they needed them and in a blink of an eye, they hate me. I took today as a mental health day to gather my thoughts and you are absolutely right. Honestly I have been with my “husband” for 11yrs now, are we actually married NO! 😂 why? because I didn’t want to get married at 18 when I meet him. Yes, I believe you should get married whenever you feel You’re ready. People don’t realize the amount of pressure they can put on a relationship. Also how old you are or how long you’ve been with a person should not be determining factors either.

Dani, my husband and I chucked the wedding plans and did what you did. We will be celebrating 37 years of marriage in a few weeks. We have never regretted our choice of wedding or spouse. My husband and I didn't tell anyone either when we got married! Both of our very traditional parents were shocked! We chose to do what was right for us and what was in God's will for us. We are now almost to our 20 year anniversary. May you also have a super long and beautiful marriage.
