We go through the process of installing our PRP Seats and Harness on our Jeep Wrangler JKU. This Video is intended for entertain purposes only. When you are installing your own seats, do you own research.
@@Ohio_offroad_adventures Dang I was gonna see if I could’ve met up and tagged along. But I’m taking my wife and son out this weekend on a easier scenic ride in Tackett this weekend. Maybe next time.
Now to address the airbag dash light & seat belt chime. Basically rewiring the sensor harness to trick the Jeep into thinking all that stuff is still connected. Let me know if you need help with that. Took me a minute & a bunch of Googling. Seat belt chime...splicing wires & creating a ground loop. Air bag was a PITFA to figure out but doable
@@Ohio_offroad_adventures Unfortunately, now that you can't raise the seat mechanically the Lil Lady is probably going to need a booster seat when she's behind the wheel. I'm 5' 5" and my Enduro Elites sit too low for me. I can barely see over the dash bar of my Sports cage. I'm about to get some custom risers made
@@apexpredator_jku actually for us. It raised the seat pretty high. Where for Ashley it sits perfect for her and I’m too tall for it now. My head sits fairly level with the roll cage. So I will be wearing my helmet a lot more since my head will keep bumping the cage. We used the PRP seat adapters to put ours on. Which ones did you use? And that’s a great idea where I might try to fab up some risers where we both fit in the seats better.
HAHA yeah I got the same issue with the air bag light. Belt chime is easy you just cross the wires to close the circuit but for some reason on my 2016 I can not get the air bag light to go off, watched a few videos and nothing resolved it. so I put a piece of black tape over it been like that for a year now.
Lol. That’s the hope. Ashley has been wanting seats/harnesses for a while now. It was always her excuse for not driving on hard trails. Now she doesn’t have an excuse.
Are those suspension seats? I'm anxious to hear if they ride better than your other seats. I've contemplated suspension seats in my rig, but never seem to get around to it. They're a bit on the pricey side, too. PRP's seem to be really popular seats.
Yes they are suspension seats and we just got back from Windrock in Tennessee and the seats made a huge difference. Especially with the harnesses. They keep you in the seat without you having to hold yourself in and tiring yourself out all day. We felt like we had more energy at the end of the day then normal and my back never got sore. They are on the pricey side and that’s why it took me forever to actually bite the bullet and get them. But after riding in someone else’s Jeep with the seats was the final straw.
Hey u seem my size... do those seats allow the harness to fit u ok or are u way taller than the shoulder slots up top? I'm struggling to find some im sure will work. The ones that give measurements are too short. They look awesome! Hope they fit u
I’m about 6’2” and if I was the only one driving the Jeep I would have gotten the taller ones. These are standard. My wife being 5’2” the tall ones would have been too tall for her. So the standard is the best for both of us if that makes any sense.
@@Ohio_offroad_adventures but it works ok for u tho? Cause I'm having trouble even finding a nice seat that's like i want. If that works ok for u i really like that seat. I definitely understand the 2 driver situation... both ends of the spectrum lol. Man i really enjoy ur channel. Willy is my favorite tho sorry😉
@@rowlinstoned3715 yep works fine for me. And thanks for watching our channel. I need to get back to making more vids soon. Just had to take a break. And I think Willy is everyone’s favorite! Thanks again
