Well, on my server, we all think that the modders did more than the devs already. Because, let's face it. If one guy in one afternoon can create more quality, tested and tried content than an entire army of developers can in half a year....
@@Flyingdutchy33 Agree. Modders added an absolute game changing amount of QoL and other wonderful MODs which totally change the enjoyment we can have from the game. IG wants the game to have an End, they do not realize that Valheim is something which people can play forever as an MMO if done properly. Its something special and I hope the modding community will let it live forever.
Just imagine a NEW game + when you kill the End Boss, the game world stays but all kinds of modifiers will be applied, making it a different - harder experience with better loot and different boss fights... the possibilities are endless for modders.
hello again! first and foremost, ashlands took around 6 months in development, but given just how big of an update the deep north is, id be surprised if they were able to squeeze it out within that time frame, i think we are looking at a longer than 6 months wait for this update im glad my assumption that they will update earlier parts of the game was correct. considering the lurv potion from the bog witch update, i feel like this was added to make the early game- gathering copper and corewood- easier. they mentioned they want to be careful not to meddle with the working formula too much, which makes me unsure as to whether or not they will add anything bigger, like perhaps a new mob i think they mean that they will add things that make the game play out differently, like for example the bogwitch update. i unfortunately do not believe (based on their comment of not wanting to mess with the working formula too much) that they will add big mobs or magic to the early game (even though i think we should get magic as early as the black forest - swamps. as a working concept we could have a staff based on and derived from the shaman in the black forest, and then two staffs from the swamps, one based off of the ghosts and another the surtlings, perhaps a weaker version of the surtling core based staff we get in the mistlands. then we could even use wisps for a plains level staff etc. i am very happy to hear them talk of optimization. maybe it wont be to the level i would like, but i think with how big the building community of valheim is they are certain to make accommodations for them in the optimization department i dont have much to add about the ending, i will only say what i know as a fact. valheim is a made up place that exists on one of the branches of yggdrasil. it is heavily inspired by a realm that does exist in norse mythology called niflheim. essentially, we are in a place where odin puts his "enemies", what that means for us the player im not so sure, but the implications of redemption through slaughter seems interesting to explore.
As always nice to have you in the comments and yeah we know they don't wanna experiment too much bcs of the working formula or what not but it would still be nice if they would as you said give us magic as early as black forest. Oh an even tho i regret that they don't wanna try some new stuff at the same time i am glad and i just hope that you are wrong about the boat approach for the deep north (i don't think you are) bcs i rly don't wanna drive a boat to the other end of the map AGAIN xd. But i don't have any doubts about the quality of the update they newer let us down before
I would like to see the main spawn turn into a teleporter to valhala when you beat the "final" boss, then you can teleport to valhala whenever you want battle other warriors and creatures to get your skills up enough to fight odin himself and get some final endgame god teir armor and weapons, and you can come back to your base whenever you want. that would make me happy
Well the idea with the portal opening where the spawn is is not entirely out of the question it could be a portal to valhala of some sorts like a proper ending.
They could simply make everyone see the storyline ending showing uou ascending to some other plane of existence, but also allow you to log in to your world as if you didn't depart so you can stay and explore your game world if tou wish.
The dev said that you are gonna have the option to stay which implies that its gonna be go or stay but there is still time, i hope that when you finish the game with you leaving that as you said you can still log back in.
Well ofc that they did but this time we know when and how the ending is gonna look like. When i say we know how its gonna look like whe know that there are gonna be choices to be made and we know that one of them is to stay and work on ur base but the other one we don't know. But ty for letting me know about that thing 3y ago i did not know about that up until now.
Yeah, but obviously, none of us believed it would be in the same century, seeing how long they took to make something as simple as hearth & home. I can name at least 30 modders who worked one afternoon and made more content. JS
Valheim has always been stable and operated smoothly. The game has recently developed mysterious random lock ups. It appears to hang randomly. Maybe, the developers can fix that issue as game lock ups destroy playability.
Mby in ur case it has been a smooth gameplay experience but meany builder's and regular players are complaining about the games stability declining the more you stay in one world and the more you load it an build in it. So that is what i was referring to when i said that they plan to work on the optimization more
Well, this is Valheim we're talking about. And its dev team is mostly known for.... Not doing anything. Especially not thinking. So we can keep speculating for at least another 2 years before the first image of the first mob is revealed, sending us all into a disillusioned state. This team makes Star Citizen's development look good. Let that sink in. Because you know Im right.
Im glad that magic is reserved for the later game. Very cool that you can play this game blind and still uncover cool surprises and gameplay mixups even in the 6th biome
Yeah it makes sense but i just love magic and i wish that there is some for of it at the start, but hey i still can't complain its a good thing that they decided to add it at all.
What they devs said was that the game would be 1.0 after Deep North and have a proper ending. But I don't think they closed the door on future updates or DLC. If I had to guess, I would say they don't have a clear sense of their plans post Deep North. Probably PS5 and Switch ports, then...who knows?
I did forget to say but i did write it somewhere in the video that that is is for Valheim base game but that they could have more plans for valheim its just that the base game ends here with the deep north.
Idk i know its not everyone's taste but i do like Valheim's combat but i can see why some people would not like it. And i can already see some people coming under ur comment to attack u for that opinion already but everyone calm down its his opinion you don't need to attack the guy if he does not like the combat in the game.
