The actress that plays the teacher in this also played Wednesday in the Addams Family movies when she was a kid.

Originally the "Addams Family" were a bunch of single-panel comic strips published occasionally in The New Yorker, between 1938-1964, with about 150 published (and another 50 or so that he drew but were never published). In 1964, the first adaptation was made, the very popular TV show, where the characters gained names. And since then there have been a lot of other adaptations made: other live-action TV show, cartoons, and movies.

Christina Ricci played Wednesday Addams in two movies, as well as appearing in a host of other films and t.v. series like SLEEPY HOLLOW, BLACK SNAKE MOAN, ALLY McBEAL and most recently YELLOWJACKETS.

This series is closer to the original comic strip and the television series from the 1960’s. Lisa Loring portrayed Wednesday at ages 6 through 8. Christina Rick took over the role at age 11 in the movies from the 1990’s which most viewers are more familiar with. Now we have Jenna Ortega at age 20 playing the oldest version we’ve gotten of the character at 16 years old not counting the tv movie where Lisa Loring was 18 and I haven’t seen that movie since it aired decades ago so I have no idea what her age was supposed to be.

Heres some info Wednesdays full name is Wednesday Friday Addams, yes for real. -Gomez is her dad -Morticia is her mom -Pugsley is her brother -Fester is her uncle -She has a grandmother they call grandmama but we don't see her in the show. -And theres cousin It, who we also don't see directly in the show. -Thing is the hand -Lurch is the family's butler The Addams are unbelievably wealthy. The show is very similar to the established lore. It does takes some liberties as it is a different take but is largely the same. The biggest differences of note are the powers she possesses, Gomez is based on the old comic strip instead of the movie or show where he was more dapper in appearance. And Wednesdays age, shes 16 in this show where shes traditionally depicted as a young girl or pre teen.

i think similar 'whats-going-on fun-mystery energy as the movie and similar wednesday and a normy boy exploration as the Addams family musical. i havent watched those in a little while tho
