No Pratik, opening the laptop with one hand doesn't prove anything about the hinge quality. It is meant for checking if the weight distribution is proper throughout the laptop. If the back part is heavy, then it won't be possible to open it with one hand.

I think you are triggering the hall sensor used for the lid close detection , it can be triggered if there is something magnetic nearby (probably the samsung watch strap).

That lock screen bug is not actually a bug. It's your watch's magnet interfering with some component inside the laptop which makes it go to sleep mode. Try removing watch and issue is solved😃 7:39

Tbh any budget laptop is going to face hinge issues like breakage or stiffness after 1-2 years , because the thing is , hinge is seperately soldered and is different part from the body of the laptop , so daily usage breaks it , unlike MacBooks whose wholee body is only 1 part made off aluminium ; but macbooks are v costly , these laptops arent , so these plastic hinges will break even if it passes so called ‘one hand opening test’

acer laptops provide good features on paper but overall build quality is always poor especially hinge. i had an acer laptop in past whose hinge broke 3-4 times eventually i was tired of repairing it over and over and changed the laptop. its not just me a lot of my friends have suffered same problem. at this point i just DON'T RECOMMEND acer laptops to anyone irrespective of its feature lists

I Think the biggest cons of this laptop is :- 1. Old CPU. Amd played the number game on these particular processor. Its the older zen2 cores, the infamous 4000 series one from year 2020. The only slightly improvement difference we get when comparing with older ryzen processors is due to the usage of DDR5 Ram with 7000 series and that's all. Even the Core & Thread count has decreased. 2. No Ram upgradability. What's the point of purchasing such bigger machine if we don't get an option to upgrade the ram. And as we can see in the video, opening 4-5 chrome tab makes this laptop stutter alot and makes it consume 90% of ram. 3. Display. I don't know why people generally don' think about this thing while in user experience display plays crucial role. Everyone who gets a laptop tends to work on it for a longer time (1hrs-6hrs) depends on their profile. Display is what makes the user feel connected to the machine. 4. Build Quality. Go and ask in your laptop repair market about any specific laptop and see if it has come in excessive number. This laptop is literally same plastic build quality that Lenovo laptop generally tends to give.
