Love Focal. Former Elear owner, currently Clear OG and Utopia 2020. The Utopia's are so good, I haven't listened to the Clear's since the Utopia's arrived. I also have the Sopra Center and Sopra No1s are on order. This was such a cool video to show all the care that are put into these pieces of art.
This was such an awesome video to watch! I thoroughly enjoy all of the reviews and analytical content you guys do, but seeing a change of pace like this with bits of your team going and just enjoying themselves was super cool to see!
I'd put money on the Utopia Tournaire still having headband creaking noises even at the $120,000 price tag LOL. They just really love cheap plastic internals for their one and only headband. Dupont dry film lube takes care of it.
It's always amazing to see the level of care that goes into making Focal products. I remember watching a Focal tour about a year ago that got me really interested in the brand and convinced myself I would own their headphones. I now own the Elegia's and appreciate them every day
good to see human beings doing things human beings used to do... glad to know robots have not replaced yet all human creativity and craftsmanship! thanks for sharing your experience!
Happy focal aria 926 owner here. Stood out in a blind test among a lot of other similarly priced speakers. But felt just that tiny bit more sophisticated and balanced compared to the rest. Build quality and aesthetics were top as well.
Ho man, what a ride!!! Thanks to share this amazing experience! Focal is a reference of excellence, innovation and passion!..Just looking the test between the titanium, aluminum and beryllium convinced me that quality means everything to Focal!!!!
Man this is always mind blowing to see, how these products come into being. It also highlight a bit about pricing of these devices, it shows there's no way you can make this stuff without charging quite a bit for it.
Wow Andrew, so happy for you.... You totally deserve it you have given Focal a huge amount of positive exposure which they deserve, so cool man. I know it might be against your mantra but Focal should seriously consider giving you a good deal on a Utopia... Seeing them do so much by hand too was a revelation for me and definitely increased the value of Focal products in my eyes, knowing most aren't made in some other country like China and are just imported ready to snap-in. Seeing the driver being blown on and moving and the explanation about the lightness of the materials also gave me great insight as to why they are so low impedance, where traditionally I would say the dampening inherent with high impedance is better, so now I understand the technology better and why low impedance isn't a limiting factor but actually a requirement due to the manufacturing precision, fascinating. Keep it up man, I am a fan for life and hope the trend of manufacturers and reviewers interacting in these non-review-focused but very transparent ways continues!
Thank you so much! that was really amazing! That really makes me appreciate and love my Utopia headphones that much more though I can't imagine loving them more! They are really amazing! I can also see why and appreciate why they cost so much. Well worth the money in my opinion! I wish I had the room for and could afford the Grand Utopia speakers. They are breathtaking to look out! By the way, what a stunning location! What a great life it must be to work at Focal!
Always nice to be reminded of how much is done by hand, because of it's complexity to automate. The Sennheiser factory in Germany also does most of the assembly by hand. Really makes you appreciate your headphones a bit more.
I watched this while wearing my Focal Radiance! Over the next couple of years I will be building my home stereo system. Looking at the Aria lineup with dolby units. I am smitten with their sound. This is exciting stuff :)
My Clear OG’s are my favorite, and most expensive cans I own. I rarely listen to it these says because I prefer iems for convenience and comfort reasons, but they’re my preferred headphones when I feel like reaching for some cans (over Sundaras, Zeus, and HD560s).
Fantastic. Thank you‚ wonderful video. I appreciate my Focal Aria 926 speakers even more now‚ and of course my elex and elegia. Great to see the passion and enthusiasm from the people from Focal‚ and from you‚ great job :)
I got strong Ferris Bueller talking about the rare Ferrari vibes when you were talking about the Grand Utopia demo. "It is so choice. If you have the means, I highly recommend picking one up."
Amazing thanks for sharing. Is this tour available to the public at all , it's a dream for my partner to see where his speakers and headphones are made. We are going to France next year and the Focal factory is high on his wish list.
I love my old school utopias I have in my car. Just waiting for a car worthy of my No7s. I'd love to hear some of the home audio. There's just something about how they bring out different aspects of songs and music in general.
While you were there, could please you tell them to fix their damn Elex from driver failures that happens to a large percentage of their Elex's. Even if it means they increase their price to Drop a bit. Otherwise, they're great headphones that punch above their weight.
Can you ask them, why Focal Elex model fails in so many cases? Almost no single pair without issues exist - either one driver stops working after few months of normal usage (after buying new pair or second-hand, does not matter) or there is obvious channel imbalance between L and R, much louder than 0.5db? Btw, even 0.5db is a lot...8:40
Did you ask them why users report such a very high incidence of single channel failure compared to less expensive brands & what they are doing to address that issue?
Not sure how this video popped up in my thread but Saint Etienne is my birth city, and FIY Etienne in english means Steven or Stephane. The people from Saint Etienne are called "Les Stephanois". Allez a bientot.
I bought a jeep wrangler , previous owner installed 4 focal speakers . I was about to Install something else , but no before doing some research. Surprised.
That's what I want to see ans ear in the iems. The driver. The capacitors and resistors for the crossovers and the most important, the box resonance that gives that closed acoustic timbre echo that we ear in focal speakers. Hate when an iem has a driver and a tube that bring the sound to the nozzle , when companies like 64 audio and fir audio bring the chamber like a real speaker to give that hi fidelity sound.
Gonna save up to own one of these hand crafted headphones. Glad there are still such company like these who havent offshored to China to mass produce junks. Repect Focal!
Great video! When you were in the speaker demo room, what volume level did they use when they played the music and was it just right for your ears? Or would you have liked it louder or quieter?
@@ResolveReviews interesting. One more question if I might. How well does the Focal sound signature and quality on the loudspeakers translates to their headphone sound?
however, the quality of the front panel materials on the chora's 806 is terrible! Bubbles everywhere, laminate is peeling off the base. FRENCH QUALITY!
Same as the name is falling off Elegia's. China is breadhing to back with constant building quality. Give them another 10-20Y and we will forget a call "no quality in China"

bullshit nothing what is handmade is precise my brother ! that's why is so special ! 8:00 want to tell me robot is less precise in this job than human ? :D how much glue she put there 1.087grams and next time the same amount ? haha the same is with the coils if them must pair them its mean they are not made precise this is super simple element why they must pair them ? this is not transistor where they make 1000 of them in a minute :/
