Fusion was a challenge for Bluey, Bingo, Muffin, and Socks, they seem to have never been able to stay fused for more than five seconds. So, every day, Muffin and Socks would ask and beg their parents if they could visit Bluey and Bingo. Stripe would happily allowed them to. However, every day when the kids ‘playdates’ were over, he kept finding Muffin, Socks, even Bluey and Bingo all tired and stressed out. Even sometimes, he finds bruises and cuts all over the bodies of Muffin and Socks, and the same goes for Bluey and Bingo. It got to the point where Stripe couldn’t let his daughters visit his brothers house anymore, worrying if one of them may have started a fight or were either playing too rough.
Both Muffin and Socks couldn’t stop thinking about being fused with Bluey and Bingo, the thought of it practically kept them up all night. They couldn’t take it anymore, they wanted to fuse into Spluffo again, they had to keep trying once more. Older sister, Muffin, and younger sister, Socks, had decided to sneak out of their house that night, and ventured to Bluey and Bingo’s house. No sooner were the sisters a few feet away from their house, and from the distance of the dark street, they both saw Bluey and Bingo running down the street exhausted and tired.
"What are you guys doing here?" Muffin asked, taking a few steps towards Bluey.
"Doing the same thing you two are doing." Bluey answered as she grabbed Muffin and Bingo by their hands.
"You guys couldn’t stop thinking about Spluffo either, huh?" Bingo asked as she took Bluey and Socks hand.
"No…" Socks answered, holding onto Muffin and Bingo’s hands.
All Heelers didn’t have time to spare, they stared into each other’s eyes and nodded, signaling each other that their ready.
They plunged towards each other, "Oof!" They all fell to the ground and groaned in pain. Immediately, they got back on their feet and plunged into each other again. "Oof!" Once again, they fell to the ground and groaned. Once more, they were on their feet, they plunged, and they fell. Again and again, they repeated the same pattern, but haven’t even got anywhere near fusing. Tears began to form in their eyes, wondering how they even fused to begin with. At the same time, they took a step back, closed their eyes, and waited. Drops of rain began to sprinkle down on the streets, leaving the Heeler pack wet and cold. Their eyes snapped open, and they paced toward each other. Before they knew it, everything around them went to black.
Her eyes shot open in a flash, she looked down at her hands and saw to different colors of fur. She gasped, "WE DID IT!" Spluffo said to herself as she happily pranced around the wet street.
"WE DID IT! WE DID IT! WE DID-" Spluffo stopped in her tracks, she went silent, then something snapped inside of her body. "No…" She breathed, they were beginning to unfuse. She went on her hands and knees, "No, no! Not yet! Not now!" Another snap came to her and she groaned in pain. Her eyes shut tightly and a blue tear fell from her right eye, the left was orange. "N-no…" She breathed sourly, "No… not…now."
From the inside of Spluffo’s body, Bluey, Bingo, Muffin, and Socks were slowly drifting away from each other, being together was easy, but trying to stick together was impossible. After months of trying to fuse into Spluffo, they still didn’t have the strength to actually be Spluffo for more then a second. A thought finally made its way to each of the Heeler’s minds. If their fusion doesn’t take strength, then… does it take… love?
Bluey finally spoke, “Guys," The other Heelers looked at Bluey, "What we’ve been doing all this time was wrong! Our fusion doesn’t take strength, but rather, it takes love…"
"I already love you guys!" Muffin exclaimed, "What kind of a child would I be if I didn’t love you guys?"
"Muffin’s right!" Socks said, "families are known for love! Especially cousins!"
"I agree with Socks!" Bingo said with tears in her eyes, "we may have loving parents, but we also have loving cousins!" She looked at Socks and Muffin, "And you and Muffin are loving cousins!" An orange aura formed around Bingo, along with orange aura wings. The same aura and the same aura wings formed around the rest of the Heeler pack, though, each of the aura’s color matched the color of each Heeler’s fur. Using the love in their hearts, they tried moving towards each other, only to be pushed away by an invisible force. They couldn’t give up now, if they gave up their fusion, they give up their love-or a least that’s how they feel. 💭Not now… not…yet…💭 They thought at the same time. As they tightened their eyes shut, tears begin to flow down their faces, and their hands reached out for support. For others, fusion is not a big deal to them, but for these Heeler kids, it was their destiny. It wasn’t long before a multi-colored light had appeared right above their heads, unaware that their love for each other had given them the choice and chance of being fused into Spluffo forever.
