The TD3 young core is an A. Isaac, Mo, and Don are leading them to on of the best records on RU-vid and are playing at an all podcast level. Producer Nikal is also a sneaky good role player for them.
Iunno, Paolo is already a mismatch on 95% league as a 21 y.o Even with how amazing Chet has been, if Magic could redo the draft I think they keep Paolo easily
Paolo legit has no point guard and no shooters, and he is still averaging 22/7/5 while getting doubled almost every play. Give him a player like Shai on his team and the argument would look a lot different.
Hey guys I just wanted to say how much I’ve enjoyed your content and seeing your guys starting to reap the benefits from everything you’ve put into your content. It’s been great to see the community grow and you never fail to make me feel engaged in the NBA even though I don’t watch many actual games. You make my day when you post and those long 3 hour episodes make perfect background noise for getting work done. Much love and I can’t wait to see what the new year will bring for everyone here
Chet is the 3rd option on his team and naturally is getting the best looks of the main scorers. Paolo has gotten MASSIVELY better from 3 compared to last year (39% for the season) has developed greatly defensively and is the primary offensive threat for his team despite having almost zero spacing he’s still going out and giving you 23/7/5 a night. If he was playing next to a guy like Shai or Tyrese he’d probably average MORE because he wouldn’t have to essentially make plays for himself and would have someone to draw defensive attention away from him
That's oversimplification, Chet is attempting less cause he's playing in the flow of the offense and not forcing / chucking. He's also just a rookie coming from a serious injury. Chet's also so fucking clutch.
As a man who is simultaneously a fan of the Thunder and the Wizards, we are so up and so not at the same time that it hurts. Also, love the pod. Keep doing what y’all are doing.
I love how y’all talked about the thunder for 40 minutes, talked about them some more, then started talking about the hornets right before going back to talking about the thunder 😭
Yes I totally agree with the rating for the hornets. Brandon has been doing amazing like he was for Alabama he was their star player. I was hoping by lamelo being out for injury that this would be the time where he was going to push through. To take the lead while he’s out but he’s kinda letting terry and pj in the forefront while He’s in the background
Darven Ham's no guard line or goes all guard line up is crazy. He also does not have a consistent defensive scheme he always wanna change something up and it causes awful confusion
Bro because I live in switzerland I will miss two hours of sleep. Its currently 11 pm and I just started the vid😂. But its worth it and yall got me in on basketball ty.
You said the lakers need defence how about Warriors: Siakam Raptors: Reaves, Moody, Rui (Salary), Lakers 2030 first Lakers: Draymond, GP2 Realistically I think Lakers say no but it makes sense to me
For the record Mo did make up the country of Turkestan. There is a Turkmenistan, there is a Turkiye (formly spelled Turkey), and there is a region in Kazakhstan called Turkestan. There are several other countries ending in stan. There is no Turkestan.
i like seeing content from u guys that’s a little less list based. i really enjoyed in the earlier episodes that yall were doing more current and less big picture
Yeah it’s a tough balance. The videos with titles that are based around a concept get watched a lot more for whatever reason. People are more interested in that then if I just title it based on a team in the headlines. I try to balance inserting the current stuff into the formats we choose for that week but I can see you thinking we’ve leaned a bit too far into the formats in recent weeks. Always a balancing act I gotta keep my eye on
He’s comparing a first option to someone who plays off a first option in Shai. Chet primarily shoots open shots, while Paolo has been forced to create his shot the whole season so far.
I’m just curious when you guys pull up stats on like cleaning the glass is there a reason the stats don’t always pop up for us? I would just enjoy seeing the stats if possible. Mainly see that when talking about the shot chart with RJ Barrett
Normally they would but today we had an issue where we lost the footage of the screen recording that would show what we’re looking at. Sorry about that
19:00 bro what? he had 51 in game 7 last year? he had 40 in a must win as well? he's had multiple 50 point playoff games? I get that he's not the offensive engine that shai might be but damn he's pretty good at being that guy (just had 45 in an OT win against the 1 seed wolves as well)
Turkish guy here. Turkistan is not a country but a name of an area. It is located in Central Asia including Turkic countries and regions such as Turmenistan, Uzbekistan, Kazakhistan and Uyghur regions of China.
I think the main reason people think ham and this team is underachieving this yr is because last yrs run was fools gold. they beat a grizz team w all their bigs out and ja morant injured (not to mention the off-court stuff). then they beat a washed warriors team who is also abt .500 rn w a better roster than they had last yr having added pods, TJD and w kuminga playing better (dont give me the draymond suspension as an excuse. i watched kerr bench dray for parts of the kings series and this yr they were .500 w him in the lineup). rui, an average 3pt shooter at best, shot better than 50% over that run. a reeves shot it like 60% from 3 too. these things were clearly unsustainable ham is scrambling to plug holes everywhere. cant plug one w/o taking his finger out of another. he started the yr w basically the lineup from the playoffs minus vando bc he was hurt. they were losing games w bad defensive numbers and horrible bench units w no offensive punch. so he benches reeves and brings reddish into the starting line up for defense. that lineup was still trash on defense and vando came back so next he decides to go with a defense first starting 5 which was supposed to be this teams identity (wholetime going to reeves down the stretch bc hes their 3rd best player). that lineup had no shooting n killed spacing slowing their offensive production. next he put reeves back in the starting rotation and theyre 0-2 since then. roster construction is BY FAR the biggest issue the lakers have. i hate to break it to you reeves is not a #3 on a good team. at least half the teams in the league have a better #3 option than reeves. i mean every1 and their mom has been calling for a trade since the first two weeks of the szn exposed them. how does that not say the roster is flawed?? also if that's the narrative how do you think all the guys outside of bron ad and reeves feel?...they know their days may be numbered in la. we saw how that impacted BI before the AD trade too. and bron is willing to sacrifice anybody in and around the lakers organization into the marketing machine that protects lebrons multi-billion dollar image. ham is the least of their worries.
Liked the pod, I do think your grading system was flawed though, I think the way to grade it would be to imagine the core in 5-7 years as the best players on that team, then rate that team itself.
I'm a Westbrook fan/clippers thunder fan and if they meet in the playoffs I'm gonna be so excited sad and popcorn ready lol I win and lose either way but I want Westbrook and harden to get this one so bad
I'm late commenting but Im just curious..so Tatum, teams in the finals, lead his team there, was an mvp candidate last year...and we haven't seen that it factor from him?? But Shai, who's successfully won the same amount of playoff series as all of us combined (0)....has cemented himself above him and y'all trust Shai? What has he shown to trust?
For most embarrassing how about Nate Robinson falling on his face trying to celebrate with Paul Pierce, surely S just for Ray Allen's face in the background.
@@sir.muffiniii7011 How bro the dude has gotten to like 4 or 5 conference finals and an NBA Finals. Multiple all nba first teams. Leads his teams to top records, is a two way player. I don't see how he isn't a superstar especially if we are gonna call Embiid a superstar.
y'all really graded a core of Herro/Jaquez but not the Wolves' of Edwards and McDaniels...wtf lol Edit: Naz Reid is also 24...definitely one of the better young cores out there.
