When I saw that old dress in the bedroom you’re sleeping in my first thought was , “I’d be afraid my mind would make me think that dress is moving once at night time and I would NOT sleep”! 😱 Then, Kirsten admitted she was a little nervous the 1st night and couldn’t sleep. 😅 What an incredible place to stay in!! All to yourselves! And, it is very lovely!

Wow! Shades of Outlander! I know it's Queen Mary's bed chamber but when you said 'Fraser family', I just imagined kilts and bagpipes! What a spectacular fortified castle! I love that it hasn't been 'modernised'. The character and the authenticity in the design and construction conjure history and tradition and sparked my imagination! The beautiful dress in the bedroom just brought the entire time-travel experience to life! Having you explore and discover all the hidden corners of the castle was beyond delightful! Especially great job with covering the interior of the castle. It's a really distinctive building, very labyrinthine with so many little rooms and tight staircases. I especially liked the kitchenette tucked into the tiny room with rough stone walls. Anyway, enjoyed this a lot and I feel like I get to see so many interesting places through your videos.
I love the dungeon, I liked the get me out of here! That was a great laugh!.The whole Castle is awesome! I think that it's nice to know that Mary lived there. I think that she would be happy to know that the Castle is being used wisely. Enjoy your walk to Peeble. Have a wonderful time.
What an amazing, outstanding, incredible experience!!! The vaulted hall that looks like a chapel would make a perfect medieval dining room. The castle is spectacular!!!! So are the views! But it really needs a full kitchen though! How are weddings catered? Thank you, thank you, thank you!
It does have a big kitchen for the weddings (it was shown to us and is next to the room where people have their lunch or dinners that we showed towards the end, we just didn’t film it as it was like a big kitchen you would find in restaurants).

That view is stunning! Add in the comfortable room and gorgeous countryside and you have a very memorable location to stay at. Probably my favorite one yet! You took us on such a great tour, I feel like I was there.
As always, i smile when starting to watch your video. Schottland is really worth visiting it. It' s so special in terms of its landscape, its prowd people as well as its thrilling history. Besides , the places of accommodation always inspire me. So I found a solution to building a shower in our guest bathroom. I fancy I could hear your excitement at the beginning of your video. What a wonderful accommodation! When we visited Scotland in March 2002, it was foggy when we got there and foggy when we left but the rest of the entire week it was in the 70's! We had planned for rain and cold and were quite warm in the clothing we brought with us but we did enjoy having cool beverages on our terrace looking over Loch Ord. Scotland is so stunning!

Oh lol, I explored the castle for the very first time when we filmed (apart from Queen Mary's Chamber and the bigger room where there's the wedding reception and the Great Hall so of course had to watch my step with the narrow and steep staircase).

I can enjoy any scenic place with both of you it is to enjoy the beauty of the places you visit no matter where you go you bring out beauty in the video which make me relax and switch off for a while and when you can do this you are there...Scotland is rugged, down south is beaches etc but all beautiful to me but I do have a drawing towards scotland even though I am a sun lover of all people.....but I know why because of the scenery you don't see in hot places ....but I like both to be honest ...I like all things beautiful no matter where I am I can see beauty in all things and all places....thankyou keep up your wonderful work

Kirsten and Jorg, thank you for taking us on your recent journey to this beautiful castle in Scotland. I know that you mentioned “Downtown Abbey”, but this castle reminded me so much of “Lallybroch/ Midhope Castle, from the wonderful US Star series, called “Outlander”, where a women falls through time, from 1945, whilst on a delayed honeymoon to Scotland, and ends up in the year 1743. If you have not watched this series, I would highly recommend it to you both, which I am sure that you will both love, especially having stayed in this amazing place… I instead have done a “swap”, moving from Nottingham, in the East Midlands, to live in the stunningly beautiful, Baden Wüttenberg area… but I could do without having moved to one of the most insanely hottest places in Europe, with the mosquitos (which I am allergic to), and the wretched ticks, which infest this area (sigh), but I never take for granted the stunning views from our house, across the fields, with horses grazing, towards the Oden Wald area :-) I have newly subscribed to your wonderful channel.
