As it turns out, living in an RV when the temperature stays below 20 degrees for over a week is a little more difficult than we thought! With all the problems we were running up against, we had to get out of there for the weekend. All Chinese language has over 20 Dialects and each Chinese word has so many different characters, so if u write(in Chinese) one line by mistake, it means totally something else, like speaking! Amanda, when the weather gets better, you should do a video on spending time with your girlfriends. Every mother deserves a “Me Time” away from your family, every once in awhile!

Penny’s English is getting so good! I remember the first videos I used to watch when I found your channel, penny struggled a bit but now I can hear her speak English clearly. I feel like some letters are still hard for her to say from way back when she had her surgery. Also, Keira is a beautiful singer!

Cannot believe that people commented and criticising on Penelope's behaviour towards Linky with her plate. If you have a problem, UNSUBSCRIBE, your loss. You cannot say yes to Linky all the time, he needs to know right from wrong otherwise Amanda and Stephen would be failing as parents, also it is putting him on the right path for adult hood if he doesn't get his way all the time. I love how Penelope started speaking Mandarin and should be interesting if she spent a day talking that. I think it is true learning a foreign language can be pretty tough. Nice that you got a chance to spend some time in a cozy place and be there for a weekend.

I understand how much that sucks! We (parents and 5 kiddos) live in southeast KY and due to how old our house is once it hits freezing temps we lose water for months at a time... It really annoying!

I have wanted to visit Tennessee my whole life. Amy Grant sings a song tender Tennessee Christmas and since I was a little girl I’ve had this idyllic idea of Tennessee in my head. Lol that makes me think of when I was in Thailand, my first ever class to teach, I had 25 four year olds in front of me, and I told them “you’re so cute” and they all screamed and cried, I ran out to call the Thai teacher and it turns out I told them they were ugly. Ugly and cute are the same word in Thai,but just with different infections. The teacher explained the mistake I made to them but they weren’t having it, baring in mind it was a tiny village and I was the first foreigner they’d ever seen in person.That class took a few months to turn around. 😂

Such a beautiful family willing to learn Penny’s language n culture. Can I just say that I’m Haw’n/Puerto Rican n though my dad could speak Puerto Rican n my mom could speak Haw’n, I barely can speak either 😂. Funny thing...my youngest brother were just a year n a half wen our mom passed at the age of 38 n today, he can speak Haw’n. I guess he self taught himself. Oh my gosh, Duolingo is SO fun! My husband and I have been using it to learn Mandarin to help us communicate with the kiddos we’re adopting from Taiwan. Amanda totally needs to jump on board, too! Oh, and Lincoln, I, too, recognize the amazing love of Jesus when I get to hang out in a hot tub! 😂

Hi Miller Fam! Amanda and Stephen you two are blessed with patience. I am so amazed how you guys have kept up your strength and struggle with the issues of the reconstruction of your home. It's so frustrating and I am praying for you guys everyday 🙏. This is me but I wouldn't have kept my patience and frustration with the home. You need to keep your water on a drip when it will be that cold. Also open the cabinets under the sinks to let warm air circulate.

Hello Miller Family! I enjoy watching your channel so much, can’t wait to see how your house turns out! A suggestion for the water freezing problem in your RV, you might want to let your faucets drip when temperatures are in the teens, or below. Here in GA that’s what they advise us to do. It helps water to not freeze, but also to avoid pipes to burst since we don’t get freezing temperatures too often. Hope this helps. :-)

I'm having to look harder and harder in certain vlogs to know if I'm looking at Liam or Jude! I thought it was cool that you are in this small cabin and talking about how nice it is to have "all the space"! I've had a few "reset" moments in life sort of like what you are experiencing in the RV. I think it's a healthy thing when you really appreciate things that you maybe didn't think about a lot at a different stage! (And no matter what happens with the house, spring will be along to give you more room to roam! Even when you get a frame and a roof...)

I'm so happy you were able to spread out in a cabin for a weekend. The place is beautiful. I love Stephen's excitement over running water😅. Spending time as a family at a skating rink was awesome. Even Lincoln had fun in the bumper cars. Hearing Penelope speaking Chinese was educational and so much fun. I never knew how some words sound the same but are completely different words. Kiera and Stephen singing and Lincoln rocking out to it was amazing. The best part was Lincoln singing in the hot tub🥰😍. Made my day.

Cute Penny, my son spent his first years out of college in South Korea working for a video gaming market going into the video games scripts and updating and translating all the slang to English so the video games could be understood for a wider market when they went up for sale. It was a cool job. They paid for all his travel, housing, food and gave him a pay check too.

Mandarin is such a difficult language, Miller Fam! I completely emphasise. I'm a British born Chinese myself but my family language is Cantonese. I tried learning Mandarin whilst at University and found it super challenging. Hats off to Keira though, even though I don't know what she's saying, it sounds really good 😅. Looking forward to the CNY vlog!

Amanda I agree I'm doing sugar free & when I first started it was definitely hard to get used to especially drinking coffee with sweetner 😘 but it's gotten so much easier.

Love you guys ..glad you've a chance to warm up..liked pack an also..but my sis was the champion ! Took Chinese history in college first month was learning Chinese so could understand the literature, etc..realized Chinese a tough language influxation is EVERYTHING.... Between addressing with respect and calling person a name....wanted to take more but was my senior year and wanted to get out of there. Looking back should have gone back and taking the two additional classes..but hindsight??

I'm so glad you guy's are warm & safe,omg Penelope was so amazing & she's so hilarious speaking Chinese and you & Stephen were so confused & kiera trying to speak it was so good.
