You guys do awesome work, it amazes me the amount of money put in a truck that will never pull a load. Nobody is ever gonna see the inside of those frame rails !!!
I'm glad you have an understanding customer. You've spent a lot of time, effort and money building your reputation, and sending one truck out that isn't 110% can easily start to tarnish your reputation
It's one of the hardest decisions I know, but I agree. Do it right the first time, so you don't have to redo it and take it back apart. You can have it right for the next show, and it's going to be a show stopper for sure ya'll have a lot of respect from the trucking world. Keep up the good work, brother
can't even imagine how hard it was to make that decision. but that is one of the reasons you guys are respected in the truck world. your not sending something out there with your name on it that's not 💯 percent. Keep up the great work smi casual 🇺🇲
Always the right decision. But you had me nervous it looked like Brian was packing up to leave. I was saying out loud may I add. NO NO NO NO!!!! And then when I realized what was going on. As hard as it was for you to make that decision I breathed a huge si of relief. Hahaha. So other than all the sad happy sad moments it was a great video.semi casual only turns out Class Trucks. And for that I applaud y'all 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
Guys, From a business point of view, never compromise! The owner agreed! You both want the same thing, a top shelf product. The little details that your company provides, sets your builds from the rest. The right decision, sweat the big stuff, get to the show with what is done already! Hurrying the build will always run the chance of failure. You will finish the build, there are always more shows! 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Tommy and Brian you're absolutely right do it right the first time and get everything right so ya don't have to redo. It's going to be a awesome truck there's always next year and the semi casual show.👍🇺🇸
Never compromise on your quality. Yes it sucks to miss a show but it's better then losing respect and your reputation. Far too many builders bring crap that doesn't run or drive just to make the show.
@@bobjohnson7797 First of all, this wasn't about him. Neither was my comment. Secondly, He isn't the one making the decision in this video. Keep your negative comments to yourself.
You should reach out to edison motors in British Columbia Canada about doing some hybrid truck kit installs i think it will be a good fit with your company .
PISS POOR CHOICES..... I would rather have had a 389 done... drop the gerbil looking 5 whatever behind.... (if you look at it from the front.... the cab looks like gerbil cheeks full of nuts..... although I've followed your brother's work.... SIMPLY AWESOME...... but now to change the hood on the PDI truck.... 😢that's why I LOVE W9's ..... but still being patient 😌
Hi Tommy Hi Bryan it’s hard to keep a promise when it come to show trucks what I have seen from the trucks you build it take a lot I whether wait to see perfection I know you are same
You did the rite thing. Thats for a corporate client and will see many shows. Rule of thumb? Do be the hillbilly halfasser from tenn thats hacks stuff on another channel. That one will be a joke and never correct. Great paint 😎 but not so great truck guy waited years for. 👍👍up for admitting too much. I personally have done the same with the streetrod customers. Only to have the vehicle win awards for 2 years when it was finished correctly.
Damn, I thought Brian got fired. Then I read comments and saw that he’s still here. Y’all should fire him anyway just because it makes good TV and it might drive traffic to your RU-vid. ( Think American Chopper - Teutel Family / Orange County Choppers) Brian can kick boxes and around, Tommy tells him, “ Get out of my F building, your suspended or fired” 😅 😂😂
This is so typical of every shop of every different kind of event getting ready for a truck show getting ready for Sema all these various shops paint themselves into these corners staying up late nights days on end it's poor planning plain and simple better planning there's been so many TV shows 10 tons of work to do with the clock ticking I know I'm going to catch hell for this and I really don't care but bottom line you bit off more than you can chew and it's your own fault plain and simple
You shouldn't have taken on AKA TIMS job with on him! You guys failed because you are too kind hearted! Westens truck should have been last in line! Just took on too much! But that'd how you get more people to your shop! The work will get done. It's just a time issue!
We get it you don’t like to cut corners and your customer doesn’t want you to cut corners either but to walk talk and act like someone left a snickers bar in your cornflakes for over 14 minutes while telling us how cool the truck will be and showing us things you have done or are going to do etc at least in my book does not make for a good video. We it me I would have made the video quite differently. Sure you start just a little somber but then go to proud and happy that you and your employees refuse to compromise your standards and your customer is happy with your decision after you explained why because he like you like to do everything right the first time
So instead of bringing in extra help, you just decided to fold and give up? Taking on to much work is not your customers fault. Where in from, a handshake is a contract and we honor it. I get that you have standards, but you said you would get it done, so get it done
