For 3 or 4 days off grid you most certainly don’t need solar and lithium. A pair of decent 120amp leisure batteries will be plenty. Don’t get dragged into the ‘must have solar’ thought. We can do 7 nights without issue. Regarding the choice of motorhome, if you’re thinking of winter use then fully winterised unit is a must. We have a Burstner 6 wheeler and they are superb to drive and they feel very planted on the road but they are expensive on the toll roads in Europe.
@@campingralliesremember that the batteries will recharge while driving. We’ve had motorhomes for 27 years and done a lot of touring ‘off grid’ and never felt the need for anything more than good batteries. We once looked into solar but the way we use the van and with the engine charging of the leisure batteries never felt we would benefit. 12volt led lighting throughout, charging phones and laptops, normal use of tv etc without issue. An older European motorhome will be far better than anything new, and you’ll probably find lots of extras have been fitted. Maybe look for something with a double floor, excellent storage and better insulation.
Love my 9-Speed Auto Ducato, just be wary of the problematic Comfortmatic gearbox just ask about extending your warranty to leadt 3 year's, worth £500 extra to save £1,000's on repairs. Also check the dealer service history, i.e. Cambelts, gearbox servicing and readaption before committing 🤷♂️ Good luck on your hunt 🙏 Regards Sam - Cannock Staffs . . .
We used to go with Notts DA back in the day. It would have been around 1999 we started. I always remember a trip to Elvaston Castle for a weekend where a young lad with Downs Syndrome who regularly went came into our van and was running around the camp site with my wife’s bras. 🙈😂. Everyone thought it was hilarious apart from my wife. 🙈
Have you tried SMC that’s not far from Brownnills.. we got ours from there a year ago and they are lovely. Btw we are in Worksop too and love motorhoming. We have Burstnerx
But why does it show in mirror image. When the good lady filmsits the right way but when you film its mirror image. ( your beauty spot moves from cheek to cheek).
I think you may have taken it a bit too literal, it didn’t actually fall apart.. it was showing it’s age and had the odd thing not working as it once did 😃
As you said you shouldn’t of done what you did standing on the toilet could’ve broken it with your weight no pun intended and on the video they would see who’s done it. If it did break you could’ve been into a big expensive bill before you even start😂😂😂 other than that. Great enjoyable, watching.
I would never ever buy a motorhome from a dealer, why? you are paying for his profit when he obtained it from the last owner or had it as a trade in, Either way you are paying a huge margin that is his profit margin. If you want to save money do not buy from a dealer, buy direct from the owner and go to sites that sell direct to public from the owner, never from a trader!
Depends on how good the dealer warranty is. Brownhills ended up picking up the bill for 1,000s on mine. If it had of been a private sale I would have been stuffed.
Yes the challenge is finding one, we do not seem to find many sold directly from the owners, not much about like fit our criteria at the moment but we won’t rule anything out
