This is so cool and I would be so excited to buy some land soon too here one day my husband and I are trying to save up our money it's harder these days bc of the inflation but I'm so excited to watch you guys build your dream home!!
Under UK law bats are protected and if you have them visiting your land then they need a safe place where they can roost and not be disturbed. This is why a lot of derelict buildings lie empty because bats are using them as their dwelling.
@@3meancats yes, and it's their responsibility to make sure that the bats on their land are not at risk of hazards such as being injured or being tampered with/disturbed. Very complex rules but they are a protected species.
It’s possibly they inhabited the old house before it was pulled down, I’m not really sure. All we know is that the council made sure that building the bats a place to live was a high priority 😊
In a dry ventilated area, bats and their droppings don't smell. It's when the area is not ventilated or when their droppings come in contact with moisture that they start to stink.
