I so excited we are going in a couple weeks and we are going rafting, couldn't go last year, i have been going here since i was a kid, and now my kid's and my mom are going I'm so excited this year, we had to cancel last year i was sad, we have water!!!❤❤❤
Hi just curious is lake Isabella part of the kern and do they have boat launch and day use? We’re going rafting in 2 weeks but would like to know a good place it’s safe to swim and use boat.
The Kern River dumps in to Lake Isabella, yes. Not a lot of ‘swimming’ in the river (too fast and dangerous) but the lake has several areas to launch your boat and hang out on the beach area. 100%! Have a great trip!
So fun to see old stomping grounds!! Many awesome memories from summers spent camping on the Kern River!! Boy, you can see that Mother Nature is still in charge!! The damage from the storms is mind boggling!! Must have been scary while it was happening!!
