Dearest Natalie and Jimmy, Love your journeys! The cows probably think you are there to feed them. As a native Coloradan I'm so sorry you didn't have a better time here. I worked for years in downtown Denver and I'm not surprised you were overwhelmed. Crazy place, Boulder too. There is a reason we moved to the Woodland Park area. We have a terrific Dinosaur Resource Center here. Unfortunately (well maybe fortunately) no live ones but very interesting! If you ever end up in this area we can offer you a fairly secluded, short-term parking spot with electric and water behind our house. There are lots of historic places you could visit from here. Hope all goes well with Saguaro. It's adorable!

I grew up in the city. Moved to the country and on farms 45 yrs ago. The first time we went camping we were in a cow field that they said the cows weren’t in that pasture. We woke up to cows licking the moisture off our tent. I somewhat freaked out. Quickly packed the tent and got out of there. Now have been around cows quite a bit as my youngest (now 31) showed cows and raises them.😆

I lived in Colorado for 20+ years and can say it has just about everything one could want. Some years you would have hit it at the perfect time and others like this year, you get tons of early snowy weather. I definitely would give it a second chance.

This is my suggestion, I know it may cost a lot in fuel but also drive the bus south towards Arizona. The bus gathering is coming up and your bus will have a bigger number of people that can look at it. If it hasn't sold in the area it's in now it's time to change location. Second, maybe reach out to Trent and Allie. Maybe they can help? Don't hurt to ask.

Most Americans, especially those with kids, have adopted the idea that summer is from Memorial day to Labor day. They wouldnt think of venturing out into the outdoors outside of those dates. As such, most parks & campgrounds too have adopted those dates. I'm surprised you found as much open as you did. !

One reason the cows may have stayed near you is they feel safer near humans. They may have since a predator near by and found security near humans. Next if you run in a wild life potential area have some form of self defense with you. Second, any time there is potential for freezing temps rocks from hill side can break loose and harm people. The rocks expand and contract with them change causing them to come loose. This is why a lot of hiking trails close that have rock walls.

Great video! There is still this notion that there is a "tourist season". These days people can travel and spend time at locations any time of year. The sooner states recognize this fact the better. Winter certainly plays a role, higher elevation areas cannot be kept clear for road travel but the same winter conditions can be a draw for other activities.

I live in Denver/Boulder. It's not the same as when I was growing up. I actually really dislike it now. I'm sorry about your experience there. I left and went to the Gulf Coast for the winter. Love your videos...hope you guys find better places for the cold season!

Get out of Boulder and head west up to Nederland. Check it out and then go to Rollinsville. Across the street from Rollinsville is a gravel road. Drive up that to Moffat Rd. If it's not snowed in you can go up Moffat Rd and camp anywhere you want. There are also places to park and camp all around that area.

Check out Echo Campground in Dinosaur. ❤ lots to see including petroglyphs. 👍🏻 and one thing we’ve noticed…. Trash in Utah camps is unfortunately typical. 😢

We came that way then went down through flaming gorge and it dumped snow so next day went to 9 mile canyon then onto the wedge area before the snow stopped.

This area is one of our very favorite places to visit! I was there almost 50 years ago, and have brought my kids and grandkids there. The town of Vernal Utah is great too! There is a neat dinosaur museum, a really nice park, and dinosaur models everywhere! There is camping in town with huge trees that is not koa, but the price has indeed gone up. It's just a fun area! The koa was incredibly cramped, really commercial, and super expensive. I prefer the camping out of town by the monuments, but the shady camp in town is good in a pinch. I'm glad you got to see the area, and I hope that you get to see Vernal too! It's a nice place to visit in the summer.

We Loved Colorado, That and South Dakota were my favorite 2 from our trip, we stayed at a KOA at both places and both were gorgeous !

Ooh it’s chilling off hear in Uk, but so don’t want snow it makes every look more romantic but I don’t do well in the cold my arthritis flares up and I become stiffer, it’s been raining quiet a bit the last 2 weeks even had flooding were I live ( East Sussex, Uk) but our reservoir are not up to the level they should be we had quiet a drought in the spring summer and ended up with hose pipe ban which I still inplace which has been making me😂 as the amount of rain we have had in a couple of days was our normal monthly amount! It’s been very much global warming problem with the extreme weathers we are experiencing around the world. Until next time take care stay safe xx

N/J, great vlog, Pizza surprise & all goodness! I always stay outside❄💙❄ Boulder, rather than Denver when I had Denver based Conferences. One time, I invited my son to come along (he's in his 30ish yrs), when in his twenties. I found a Bear Lodge resort up above overlooking Golden on one side and Boulder on the other side views. Yes, frequent Black Bears visits 🐻🐿🐇🦁. It was a non WiFi location, to detox my son's usage of his gaming laptop. He actually came out of his room, to drink coffee on the vast overhanging deck, overlooking the fall color panoramic views. After some encouragement, he willingly hiked the many trails nearby. We drove some back roads to Netherland and other small interesting spots. He still talks of Boulder and he liked Ft Collins vibe as well (he went to school in Laramie WY). You guys, make your vlogs calming & fun!!

Consider also the purchase of a WiFi signal booster to also boost your WiFi signal. Research to see what you prefer. *Very Inportant: Invest in a SOS distress electronic signal device, this a kind of device can send out a distress signal with your exact location. There are various types of these devices, and including devices that can be used when boating, or camping situations. *Some have emergency Strobe lights SOS signaling with location alerts, and location updates that can be sent to your family, and emergency first responders. Some can be synchronized with your smart watch or phone. There are some satellite SOS texting messaging, locator devices that will send messages with your phone even if there isn’t any cellular signal, or WiFi. With this device your can still text, and communicate with others in a emergency satellite transmission. Check online, for various emergency SOS products, some are small to fit in the palm of your hand. Vehicle batteries drain more often in the winter months. If you have a older battery in your vehicle, Please have it tested or replace it, and consider the purchase a new vehicle battery with higher Cold Cranking Amps rating. Be Aware that Sometimes even a battery that is a few years old can fail in the Winter months, and extremely cold temperatures. Some alternatives to Winter Camping, Travelers, Explorers, etc, if you can find a Warmer Climate Location to stay during Extreme Winter months, or stay with family for a few weeks. Another alternative is renting somewhere although this can probably get expensive. What ever you decide Be Careful, Alert, Aware, Safe, and Informed... *Keep a Fire extinguisher handy *Smoke detectors, and Carbon monoxide detectors can be helpful Keep a First Aid kit with Bandages, antiseptic, and other first aid necessities etc. and good vitamin supplementation, and fluids that promote hydration. Consider installing; *Mounted Dashboard camera front and rear possibly. *Exterior vehicle mounted camera for the front, rear, and both sides of your vehicle. Some can be activated by motion, Including spotlights. *Interior vehicle cameras *Flashlights or pluggin spotlights *Portable spotlights, and lanterns Keep a few whistles around with you, and in your vehicle possibly in your vehicle’s center console *Keep a Sound horn, for hiking this can service, as a deterrent, and a emergency signal alert for others. *A set of long range 2 way radios, walkie talkies, to communicate with others during trips, some have 100 mile radius keep for emergencies, you can keep with you when hiking. Use your own discretion regarding the use carrying of any weapons. Don’t forget to bring Bear Spray Pepper spray Where is allowed Purchase a couple canisters just in case and keep it with you If you own a drone you can use it to survey your area for animals etc. However, Please Be Safe and Beware of your Surroundings. Stay Alert, and Be Safe even when stopping at Rest stops, Truck Stops, and conducting your various tasks. Keep in often contact with your family, friends etc. Keep up with the latest Weather Updates, beware and prepare for unexpected Weather events and conditions. *VERY IMPORTANT* *WINTER AWARENESS* I would suggest *NOT* to travel to locations without internet, or cellular service in the Winter, the reason is that weather conditions can change very quickly, and you absolutely DO NOT want have a vehicle break down, or malfunction, or emergency, and not have the availability to communicate, and contact your family, and or, emergency road assistance, or emergency services. Please Keep in mind that even in area where there is cellular service and internet, in the Winter sometimes there are ice storms that may occur and this can cause Power or Electrical failures, until utilities crews repair lines. *Your Safety is Important* *PLEASE BE AWARE* that in some extreme cold temperatures that vehicle fuel lines could Freeze and causing a vehicle to not start. Just in case Keep your gas tank filled, which helps prevent vehicle fuel lines from freezing. Keep gas or fuel line additive, or gas line antifreeze, that is rated to use okay for your vehicle. Check with your a certified mechanic and your vehicle owners manual, and or dealer repair facility to inquire what is best to prevent freezing gas tank and lines in extreme cold. In the Winter even your bottled Water can freeze so Be Careful and Plan ahead. *Safety is Paramount* *Your Life is Important* *You want to Live to Travel another Day* *So Be Safe* *Stay Alert* *Keep your vehicle gas filled* Don’t ride on fumes, or on Empty. Don’t chance your Safety by running your vehicle fuel or gas too close to Empty. Fill it up anyway, it will save you alot of time, and headache later on. Remember to keep up on routine maintenance, check your tires for wear, keep up with your fluids for your vehicle, like oil levels, antifreeze coolant, Please carry extra (oil)(washer fluid), (brake fluid), (antifreeze). You will need extra Winshield Washer fluid because of the ever changing Weather conditions, dustly roads, especially in slushy wet roads. *WINTER AWARENESS* In the winter consider purchasing and deicing Windshield Washer Fluid, for the much colder weather conditions. Furthermore, you will need extra Windshield Washer Fluid, Because you will Be driving more often in dusty, dirty, windy, and varying weather conditions. Your windshield will gather dust and debris from long term driving. Also, Remember Because you are on the road riding for sometimes very long distances, and long periods of time, I would suggest investing in 2 sets of tires, and a spare, the extra set at a home base, friends or family’s house to rotate later on, also make sure that you have a spare tire in your vehicle. Check the mileage ratings on your tires they all very. Conduct visual inspections of your tires often, check for damage, wearing, air pressure, etc Keep a pressure gauge to check your tires pressure and a tire pump. Electric, Portable tire pump. Keep towing insurance to Be Safe if you ever need it. It Doesn’t cost much try to get National coverage if available, or where you will be traveling. Keep Extra financing, and savings for any unexpected issues, vehicle repairs, and overnight stays, in a emergency or if you need to rest indoors. Colorado,Utah Spectacular Scenery but come late fall/winter a lot gets shut down but remains a winter wonderland! Traveling,camping certainly gets rough best to head back to SLC come back in the spring. Jimmy has become quite the chef😳 & Natalie the storyteller added some special humor so fun. when we lived in Colorado for several years, some of the best places, especially during this time of year to see wildlife is around Buena Vista, Colorado. You'll see all kinds of deer and moose bear. Lots of wildlife!
