I was hanging out to the very end hoping for some night shots. Our pond comes to life at night! Now you have us wanting a small waterfall in the front yard too!! Love the pod guy for all his inspiration!!!

It was wise of her though to let go a little and let people with more knowledge than her drive the project. They're professionals and she's not the first client of theirs to hold strong opinions about what they (think) they want.

Personally i would think a pond would have made it look more natural especially with the amount of water used as now the water just disappears into the ground.i believe this look is not natural while the rest of the structure is beautifully natural.But maybe this was not her intention with this design?

Yes, I thought the stone color helps integrate the gazebo and tree trunks with it. I like the contrast and even though I'm a "cool color" person as Laura is I can enjoy this natural look.

Audrey Wy ...yes, but she never heard of Aquascape.

Unfortunately, it's not going to happen. Believe it or not but she ripped the whole thing out shortly after they installed it and is currently sitting in her barn collecting dust while the mice chew away at the liner. That being said, she's said that they do eventually have plans to reinstall themselves somewhere else in the garden since that area was bulldozed for the Hartley. Considering it's been two years since then as well as her initial apprehension I doubt this beauty will ever see the light of day again. I do agree with Laura about proper placement, height, and existing landscaping is key to a natural-looking water feature. Which is why this spot was perfect for the style of feature. Nowhere on her property, new or old is there a spot to place one that meets the criteria listed above without it looking random/ out of place. At least without creating some type of berm which she's against since the look isn't natural to her area. So most likely she'll end up installing a traditional water fountain ⛲️ like the others she's already got on her property. Who knows? Aquascape does have other gorgeous options for those not interested in the natural stream/ waterfall aesthetic. I believe they refer to them as a fountainscape and they can be very impressive. Whichever Laura decides to go with I'm sure it'll look beautiful. Just Unfortunate about wasting this one. Sorry for the long reply. Lol.

Sorry but you were completely wrong. Bad comment. It is better to say nothing unless you know for for a fact what they are thinking or have said. And there have been numerous videos since indicating that the big one could be happening sometime in the future, actually just finished yesterday. Also they have mentioned the first one being reinstalled eventually, but they are not sure where yet. Sorry but some comments annoyingly just get under my skin. It’s their life, their ideas and we are lucky that they show us what they are doing. Better than any tv programme. Great content, family and life.

I hope you will do it (install a creek / waterfall); your sanctuary for the birds, bees and butterflies 🦋 sounds amazing. It’s so important to give them protection and provide them with the things they need!

Where I live water is probably the most important feature of a garden for nature and I have 4 areas where fresh water is available but I know moving water is really appreciated by the birds. I've been looking for something like a bubbler for the hummingbirds. They bath in wet foliage and even the spray from the garden hose - so cute! Anyway thanks for the opportunity to "go on" about my passion. Have a great day!

Yeah, me too. Imagine how nice it will be for them to sit by and hold a new baby girl and watch Benjamin play next year. That's such a fabulous spot for water and it does look like it's been there for the whole time. It just became one with it's surroundings in a day! That's amazing and wonderful!
