I believe the Europeans nationalised their countries and developed them without any help i don't think why African countries think they need the help of the NATO or the ASEAN COUNTRIES to do the same..
Is this chap serious . All politicians throughout the world have a lot to answer for . There are however two realities : any country that involves itself in another country does it for their own benefit . The Russians and more so the Chinese play the long long game . I can assure you if South Africa did not have minerals no one would have ‘ given ‘ anyone guns . Nothing in life is free so when someone offers you something then analyse the motive. Perhaps Mr Malema can read some of Solzhenitsyn books , go and visit Russia , see how the average people live , go to the gulags and get a broad and accurate perspective , the spend a year travelling around China , then India - before showing how little he knows. He will witness poverty and oppression on an industrial scale and perhaps show some gratitude on how well SA as a small “almost Mickey Mouse “ , economy has done and then rather than being divisive and finger-pointing work with others that he disagrees with , for the good of all well intentioned South Africans that embrace our differences and get along just fine .
The first part of your comment is completely understandable and it is only logical that people realise nothing is for free. However, the second part of your comment, brings only questions. Have you yourself visited Russia to _see how the average people live , go to the gulags and get a broad and accurate perspective?_ Have you spent _a year travelling around China , then India_ and witnessed _poverty and oppression on an industrial scale?_ Or or are these based on hearsay, media reports and old stereotypes?
Analyse the motive to find out what exactly? You already stated that each nation has its own interests. In the context of SA, the Russians and Cubans were on the side of the oppressed, that is a historical fact and that should count for something despite their motives. What makes you think Malema is naive about the poor that are present in Russia or China? Is America the perfect country were there are no poor people? That was not even the point of what he was discussing.
@@MrLosches 1. "All politician's throughout the world have a lot to answer for " - this is self explanatory and includes America. Obviously there are poor people there , but far less as a % of the population than most places . One of the facts of the key causes of poverty is " those who do not have relevant skills or training to be employed , and then those who have children they can't afford to raise ( feed , house and educate ) - this is known as the poverty trap that results in , the opposite of economic freedom as you are dependant on the state and a burden on the system wherever you are . 2. Your comment " Russians and Cubans were on the side of the oppressed , .... despite their motive " - reinforces my point i.e ' we will provide guns and military training , in return for what .............. ? . Look at what happened to Zim .What I was saying is - don't be naïve about who you side with , and hold them up as hero's / allies/supporters , but first look at how well they have served their own population before you formulate a very clear idea of their motive . How much ' support ' and involvement do countries with no minerals or needed technology , or need for their products eg nuclear power stations , proximity to enemy ( remember Cuban missile crisis ) get - Answer :ZERO - . So in the return case, what is the motive of South African politicians - denounce white capital ( Europe and America - as the source of all evil ) but then curry favour with white Russians , - WHY , because we need money and foreign support to fix this country as we don't have local skills to build a thriving economy .In my view the point of what is being communicated by Mr Malema " we are your saviours , we will bring any opposition to its knees , we are freedom fighters ' and surprisingly his party never maps out step by step how they would unite us , and stabilise the crime and corruption to protect all citizen's , and how they would fix the mess this country is in . Especially when they have no proven track record of running anything at scale.
obviously you're praising this economy because you are the biggest beneficiaries of it, you want Sa to arrest Putin and when Russia bombs SA you will run to England while poor black South Africans are killed
@@thulaningidi-el8tv here we go again ' the black white issue ' . I am certainly not a ' beneficiary ' - no free education , varsity , grants -> worked from 17 to 66 , after matric , and am still working to make ends meet , would never leave as I can't ( not unlike here - you cant just arrive in a foreign country and just get in - example friends of mine tried to get into Canada and thier application has been in the system for 4 years - so ' run away ' is not on the cards. and don't want to get a foreign passport - I'm a third generation South African , as are most if you look back in history - we are not all descendants of the Koi San people . . I never once suggested Putin be arrested, and the notion that ' Russia bombs SA ' is so odd that it does not warrant a sensible response. No one can move forward wearing a victim hat and expecting handouts - all of my ' black neighbors ' are either multi millionaires or billionaires so I really dont understand your position , but respect it as ' walk a thousand days in someone's shoes before you judge them ' - This concept works both ways.
