This ride ROCKS I rode it for the first time on Sunday and it’s SO awesome how fast the launch is. While Ghostrider is a longer, better, more complete ride, this was so much fun and a great number 2 in the park

This is the most powerful launch I’ve ever experienced. It left my soul in the station every time. I can’t wait to ride it again in August. It feels even stronger than old Dragsters launch.

It's not as fast as Dragster's old launch, but it reaches top speed more quickly. When you crunch the numbers, this delivers the more extreme acceleration of the two.

I'm guessing you haven't ridden stealth? It's almost identical to accelerator but slightly stronger. Unfortunately it has horrible OTSR

@@diveloopthrills7613 the worst part is at the front the airtime hill at the end is strong so you're in the air then as you hit the brakes you fly forward and your balls get absolutely destroyed by the locking mechanism 😂

I remember the first time riding this about 8 months ago and my brother and my friends Grayed out while I couldn't stop screaming obscenities. I came off the ride with my hands and legs shaking for like an hour.

The only hydraulic launch I've ever experienced and have close access to is Superman Escape's 0-100kmh launch on Superman Escape here in Australia. It may not as fast as Xcelerator, but the feeling of the hydraulic launch is so powerful and exciting; there's just nothing like it!

I have been riding Xcelerator ever since it opened back in June of 2002 and the launch back in its cearly years had a lot more force. The launch you experience now is still great but it was definitely a breath-taker back when it first opened. I also remember when the purple train was painted yellow and the track was candy apple red. I was sad when the red color faded into a dull pink due to the sun and weather changes over the years. But it's still a fantastic launch coaster.

Xcelerator has the most intense launch on any coaster I’ve ever ridden. Plus the layout with the 2 overbanked turns makes it feel more complete than TTD or Kingda aka which just have the top hat with no turns.

Notoriously unreliable. Xcelerator has had periods where it has been down for more than a year.

I live in Long Beach (right on the other side of the county line with Orange County), which means I am right down the road from KBF. Which means I've been on this great, beautiful, killer hydraulically-launched monster countless times. I'm glad that Knott's went all out to keep the legend alive, this is the world's first hydraulic-launch coaster, and Knott's is determined in keeping the legend alive, even with the makeover it has received.
