One year later we return to this incredible rockhounding spot near the Sauk River to retrieve the one we left behind and it was still there! it only took a chainsaw and our new adventure wagon to get there.

"This is why we don't have nice things." I'm the same way. My first vehicle was the dodge conversion van, a lot of fun for trips, gad is expensive though. What a smart idea taking the adventure wagon, and cutting the branches helps clean up the trails too. What amazing rocks, the botryoidals are insane, love the variety and colors. What a great day, fun journey, beautiful scenery. Thats a huge rock, nice you got it out of there, totally worth it! "We're going to need a bigger boat" with the overfull buckets.

Haha, this was one of our first rockhounding videos and still a favorite because we were finding so much cool stuff we had no idea what we were looking at. Still feels that way everytime we go out. Can't wait to make it out your way. I think we would lose our minds!

This was a creek that runs into the Sauk. Lots of good finds anywhere along that river. Welcome to the rock world! We incorporate rocks into every video and post weekly.

These are very commen in the darrington area. You find even more as you travel up the rivers.

That rock must be from Glacier Peak Volcano. Very cool find i have to explore that area soon

I have a pile outside also. I have them in containers in the house, coffee containers in the garage and so on. Once you get started it is hard to stop. Enjoyed watching your adventure :)
