Welcome to Ohio been here all my life. You learn to love the lady bugs and being close to nature. The only cons are driving on ice in the winter. It’s a beautiful state, start a garden and just enjoy. The seasons changing are beautiful; the colors in the fall are unmatched!

My husband moved us to, Columbia Ohio years ago due to his family business, best moved ever 😊 I agreed to move one request from me that we relocated to the top school district, he made it happen my 3-kids grew up in Bexley graduated from there went onto college 2-have their masters 1-has his bachelor. Great school district if you’re looking for one also small town in the heart of, Columbus close to downtown . Best of luck to you and your family!

I live almost 3 hrs from Columbus but if you guys ever get the chance you should visit hocking hills I think it’s 57 minutes from Columbus. It’s beautiful and peaceful. Welcome to Ohio ❤

I got rid of so much stuff when we got down to the wire and had to depart from my house, I was giving so much away for free. Riding lawn mower, washing machine, kayaks, LP tanks, treadmill and a lot more. I just kept thinking it would be cheaper to replace than to get another U-box. Turns out by the time I got to Ohio and realized I had so much gone I began looking into replacing those things given away and low and behold everything was far more expensive than when I initially bought them. I didn’t consider the inflation factor.

If you're looking for a church in Columbus, Ohio, I recommend Garden City and the head pastor is Gerald Murphy. One of my really good friends and probably one of the most prolific leaders, I know.

We did . The problem is we had a brand new house with a lot of storage. Our new house is actually bigger but built in 1978 so storage is just different. Our old kitchen had like 12 drawers, this one has 2

Welcome to Columbus! I am originally from the “state up north” (I can already hear the boooo’s). Came here for college and ended up married to a Buckeye. I’ve been here for over 30+ years and I can say, the city has seen a lot of changes, both good and bad. I enjoy my life here but will be retiring soon and we are making plans to move to FL. You have a cute family and a nice home with a lot of character. Newly subscribed and wishing you and your family many blessings as you adjust to your new life here in OH.

I currently live in Tampa. Born and raised in Circleville. I suggest thinking twice before moving to FL. Traffic sucks, property and auto insurance is the most expensive in the nation. Rents and real estate are 30-40% higher than Columbus and politics is a joke.

Welcome to Ohio, an underappreciated state. Grew up here and could not wait to go to college elsewhere. Ended up back in Ohio after college, married and moved to 6 different locations across 3 eastern states. Came back to Ohio 6 years ago to be near family and am glad I did. Love the 4 seasons! Ohio has many great local school districts, parks, museums, sports teams, colleges, lakes, businesses, farms, fairs, and people. I hope you love Columbus!

Love your new home and all of the land. Definitely the downgrade in the bathroom is such a non-issue because of all of the amazing living space that you now have plus closets galore. (I raised my 3 sons here and they had the best childhood ever, according to them!😍). Perhaps we will run into each other one day... out here Vlogging!!! If you have any questions about the city... please feel free to reach out. ❤❤❤ Not sure of your exact location... but Blacklick Woods in Reynoldsburg (east suburb) was my kids favorite place to go. They have playground areas, Nature trails marked with mile markers and much more. We love it there, its been our safe and friendly outdoor environment for our family ...3 generations in!

It looks like my window, it’s called a bow window. Bow windows have 4-6 panes, while bay windows have less. So pretty, ours is wood too.

Welcome to Ohio! I am born and raised in Cincinnati, then moved to Lewis Center (north of Columbus) 28 years ago, and now finally in Stoutsville (25 minutes just south east of Columbus, and quite rural). I love OH. Lots to do! Definitely check out Hocking Hills area if you love state parks and hiking and be sure to check out Old Man's Cave while you are there. The best time of year to visit is Fall when the leaves are changing. Another must see area is Amish Country (Holmes County, OH), Lots of Amish families and great thrift stores where you can still find really good bargains.

Sister had same problem with lady bugs. She put eucalyptus leaves and branches by windows, doors, and in each room.. The lady bugs left. Also, she steamed essential oils (including eucalyptus) to keep them out once they were gone.

We do the same with the essential oils. We got a new front door and all new windows plus caulked a lot of open gaps and it’s been a huge difference. Plus pest control comes weekly

Greetings from Dayton 😊 Moved here from over 20+ years in Columbus! I still drive back n forth there often. I miss Columbus! Enjoy Red, White & Boom, The Jazz and Rib Fest, The Columbus Zoo, Cosi, The Awesome Art Festival, Short North and Easton are nice. The art museum used to be free on Sundays. German Village has a nice German restaurant. There are days when you can have every season in one day! The North Market is nice. Lady bugs good luck! Welcome to the Buckeye State! The best parks there!

We are CA escapees, too, to your East outside Zanesville. Never been sorry to move here in '16, love it more each year! As you may have heard by now, those "ladybugs" are actually called Asian Beetles, and are a yearly pest. Short lived and they don't hassle. Stink Bugs, now THEY are nasty! I don’t think they are ladybugs. I believe they are a Asian lady beetles. They look like ladybugs but there is a difference. They come in for the winter to nest. They will bite and give off an awful smell. Ladybugs are beneficial and they don’t usually come inside like that.

I just move from Minnesota to Columbus Ohio! Living in Dublin. So far is not bad, traffic isnt as bad as the twin cities.

New subscriber here! I moved from Columbus Ohio to Washington State 2017 with my 7yr old….bringing back so many memories. I did make that 30+ drive we just took 4 days mall of America and Mt Rushmore. Congratulations! Building a village is a doozy but my village is so solid here. I’ll be praying for your village!

Thank you! And that’s definitely a big move! We thought about just driving and taking our time but with 3 kids would’ve been a headache lol. I’m sure our family will follow us out here so it’s only a matter of time. But for now, we both work from home so we are our village ❤️❤️

Tree removal is very expensive unless you can do that yourself. Therefore sooner than later is recommended because from experience, every foot taller, the price goes up.

I know you already know this but be careful with your small children when they are in the upstairs loft the rail part is too low that would make me extremely nervous with my 2 toddlers.Yes the home need lots of upgrades those lady bugs would drive me crazy I hope you succeeded by getting rid of them I love the deck in the yard

I can tell you I totally understand your feelings - was a military wife for 23 years - and moved all over the US and a tour of Germany - making it 20 moves. Luckily the military paid for it - but the work was overwhelming.
