I met Kevin, the current owner of the Chesnut House, about 2 1/2 years after I moved to KY from the west coast. He immediately told me about it and invited me over. He took me on a tour clear back when an awful lot of it was still in a sad state of rot and disrepair. It is amazing how much work he has accomplished in this time. He loves that house and loves the history behind it and of the former families that lived there. The spirits seem to love him too. They give him nothing but good vibrations. He is one of the two, count 'em, two friends I have here. He's one heck of a good-hearted guy. His type are hard to come by these days. Thanks for doing a 'hunt' at the house.

This place was popular when I was a teenager. We loved going there to get a good spook!’Second floor balcony area is the creepiest! As teens we would drive by there and we would see people standing in the windows at like 3-4am. Super freaky place!

Funny how paranormal investigators don't necessarily fear the ghosts, but other things. Amy from Amy's Crypt fear of birds, Dave and Miranda with bugs.
I have a crippling fear of feathers I can't even walk past one on the floor and I absolutely flip out if a bird even comes towards me and I can't use anything with feathers in especially duvet pillows or sofa cushions I know it's a odd fear to have I have tried to get past it but I can't

I would say the one common huge fear shared by everyone is running into the living while looking for those sweet spooky spirits and anything else unseen that’s messing about in places. If there’s a person not spoken up when asked their best assumed to be mad And that is a valid fear all should mind if encountered. True? Or…. Thoughts
@@jnealcarr So true I have seen content where they believe someone is in a location and that is more scary than any ghost. You never know what that living being is capable of and could easily send you to the hospital or morgue.

Maybe, at some point in the past, this door led to a room of some kind then the passage was converted to a closet, but someone who is still there remembers when there a passage way there ?

Yes, I concur. Kentucky is haunted. We lived in Letcher County, KY when I was a kid and our home was haunted. My 4 year old brother would see a ghost man and talk to him.
Yes it is. Some of the apartments I live in are haunted. My apartment had some strange noises when I first moved in, they started when I went to bed, and sounded like someone puttering around in the kitchen but when I would check it out there was nothing. I finally got up and said out loud, " whoever you are you need to leave, this is not your home and you are not invited, you need to look for a bright light and go to it and it will lead you home." Since that night I've heard nothing else. But I have a friend who lives in a apartment across the parking lot and he's told me of things he and others have seen. He had a light ball come in through his window, then go into the bedroom. A friend was visiting and saw it too. He also saw a woman come out of a upstairs apartment and then she disappeared. Also a pregnant lady had rented a apartment that was also upstairs from him, she had her tv float 3 inches off her table, then sit back down, she was gone the next day. There is a cemetery just past the entrance of the apartment complex that have some of the founders of the town in it. The earliest grave I saw was 1824 but it's been vandalized several times with headstones knocked over or broken, and then there is a lone marker than is just behind this set of apartments my friend lives in, but there are other gravestones stacked by the fence, I don't know if they were disturbed when the apartment were build back in the 1970's or not.

Miranda has the sweetest personality 🥹🩷 You can tell she's a really caring person, and her presence brightens even the scariest of haunted locations. It sent chills down my spine seeing the door open on its own, whether it was a vacuum or not! But it's also 1am here, so I'm getting extra spooky vibes from watching this video lol. I hope we see Dave rejoin the investigations soon. I miss his 'we're leavinggggg!', but Ryan you did a great job here! Idk if anyone else noticed : Just after Miranda mentioned talking into the recorder in the attic n you switched to the attic camera, at 24:40/41 you hear a noise, almost like a scratch. It wasn't noted on the video.

Was talking about the spirits in the house and how they may look upon it with certain kinds of people in their house. If spirits are pushing them or getting aggressive, there's probably a reason for it. Paranormal groups seemed not to care about stirring up more activity especially when they can make money off it.

Old houses sometimes contain secrets, doors hidden behind newer walls, objects with sentimental value to some past resident/owner that have been hidden inside walls for whatever reason and the owner is still guarding the object whatever it may be out of concern it may be taken.

Tbh, what I heard in the moment wasn’t whistling. Ryan thought it sounded like a whistle, and he’s about 10000x better at these things than me! So, for what it’s worth, what I heard was movement from the living room! Like something was jiggled for lack of a better word 🤔
Just an observation, when you were doing the abandonment session, the lights to the attic went off, then you got the word attic on the spirit box. The next word you got was eight. I went back and counted the lights, while there were ten lights on the stairs only eight lit up. Thought this was interesting and actually had an, “oh wow” moment.
As to that door opening - I went back, took a screenshot, copy and pasted into my photo editor and zoomed in. I don't believe that door was even open a crack like when you guys, Ryan and Miranda, were trying to debunk it. Maybe the door doesn't fully latch but it was as closed as it gets. It does not look like it had popped back open in the slightest. Thus I believe it was paranormal.
"No negative comments about anyones appearance" is a specific guideline Dave & Ryan have set for us as their community. So if you support Paranormal Quest - then you follow that guideline.

Literally on the edge of my seat waiting for that door on the second floor (the creepy self opening one) to slam 😁. Great investigation as always, as an Aussie it’s awesome visiting these foreign and historic sites vicariously through an authentic paranormal channel.
1:33:01 so, the weird thing to me is when the door opened, it paused barely cracked, almost like someone was peaking out to make sure you guys were leaving, then opened all the way, almost like someone came out

At 49:15, on the cam pointing at the top of the stairs if you wait like 4 seconds to 49:19 there is a black thing in the bottom left and Ryan is not moving at all when it happens
