Carrie, seeing you sad makes me sad. Honestly I've had such a bad day but this comment section, and vlogmas makes my mood go completely up and I feel so much better thank you Carrie and the hopefuls. Remember you are valid and loved and beautiful:)

My favourite thing about this vlog is that while all of us in the audience, and Rob himself, were crying through Empty Chairs, Carrie was ranting at her laptop in her dressing room 😂 (Also I may have just sobbed again while watching this entire vlog remembering how emotional last night was 😭😭)

It's the fact that tier 3 won't fix the problem, it just feels like another way of invalidating the arts.

the difference in carries emotion hearing the prologue for the first time after quarantine and the last time before going into tier three is so heart wrenching. but we will all be back soon ❤️

Carrie, it is so sad that the theatre has closed again. So many precautions have clearly been taken. To put it in perspective, I am a nurse in the community and have only been tested once since the beginning of Covid-19. Colleagues have been tested positive and we don’t have Covid bubbles so still expected to work. For the theatre industry doing so much to prevent anyone from catching it, it seems so silly to shut your doors again. I hope you will be open again soon and I hope I can come and watch you for the first time one day! ❤️

Don’t know if I’m quite prepared for this 😭

I know you talked about scrapbooking your wrist bands, but I think they would also be cool in a fillable Christmas bauble. My mother-in-law filled one for us with little things from our wedding and it was super sweet. We don't have a tree so I haven't pulled it out in a couple years but I know it has a paper napkin because my husband chose ones with a really pretty color swirl, and a lucky penny that she thinks was a sign from Grandpa, who died 3 months before the wedding.

As someone who also works alongside actors and in the theatre and entertainment industry this broke me. Alfie’s “One Show More” hit me right in the feels and I’m sobbing. Theatre will be back. It has to be. Stay strong Carrie.

I feel so incredibly lucky to have been in the audience last night. I should have been starting a Stage Management degree at RADA this year at 27 years old. I am in love with this industry and it is completely heartbreaking to see it treated like this. I hope you’re doing okay. We will be back x

hearing an entire ensemble sing in a show always makes me emotional when i’m in a theatre, but the ending made me even more emotional even though i’m watching it through a screen. it all feels so big and it sucks. hope you will be back very soon.

Heartbreaking that only a couple weeks ago, you were tearing up out of happiness at the opening statements, and now you’re tearing up out of sadness. I’m sorry you’re all going through this. This whole year has just been whiplash after whiplash. So unfair. But you’ll all be back sooner than you know, I’m sure 💕

Being there last night was something else. I wept from start to finish and the atmosphere in there was just incredible! We were dress circle c28 and felt so safe inside with so many measures in place- so much more dangerous one street over where it was rammed full of people!! Thank you for such an incredible performance last night and a show I’ll never forget xxx

Incredibly moved by this, I cried at the end. As someone that adores the theatre I am sad, have been sad all year. I cannot imagine the pain this is causing everyone involved in the industry. Truly thinking of you, and can’t wait to see as many shows as I can when the situation allows it x

Haven’t done a show in over a year :( but whenever I’m in a show I always pack everything up while I’m waiting to go on at some point in act 2 so I can just get straight home once the show finishes. I saw you doing the same and it made me feel so warm and a bit sad cause that’s such a tiny ritual that I always loved. It’s those small things that I miss the most about theatre. Gosh. I just ache all over when I think about how long it’s been since I’ve been on stage. :(

i can only imagine how hard it was to sing such an emotional song as i dreamed a dream in this difficult moment... you were so strong!

I was prepared for this to be emotional and yet I still cried 💔 The passion in the singing and speeches and the cheers from audience just shows how powerful theatre is and I can’t wait for the day you can come back again, even stronger ❤️

Oh man. Your frustration walking down oxford street resonated so much. I’m a teacher and my fellow teachers and I have been constantly enraged and baffled by this government’s mishandling of the pandemic. And while our jobs have put us and our loved ones in danger and the workload has doubled, at least we haven’t been stopped doing the thing we love for no good reason. People need entertainment like theatre more than they need pubs open! The effect on an audience when that music starts is amazing and emotional. What you have done during those past 10 performances is amazing in the circumstances. Such a great company - such a phenomenal musical experience.

I barely have words to describe what this video makes me feel. I miss the stages so much, both watching and performing, by being in Brazil I still haven't been able to perform this year nor to go back to theatre college presential classes. Few theatres are reoppening now, with half capacity or less, while malls have being full for months. Wish you best of luck Carrie, absolutely love your videos. As the new year approaches I believe it'll bring us all more hope and new perspectives to the entertainment industry.

Your vlogmas has really given a personal face to the news of theatres closing and highlighted just how heartbreaking it is. They say it on the news and it's like 'oh okay they;re closing but we watch you here and really understand exactly what that means to people in the industry.

I live in Australia and to see this continue to happen not only makes me cry but makes me angry that you all have to live through this again. I had my first bigger show canceled on me in March so I understand all the feelings. I am lucky that we here are able to do shows again but that does not make your situation any worse. Carrie that was so moving . I couldn't agree more that the streets are scarily overcrowded & people are not wearing masks. I was at the matinee performance on Saturday 12th December and felt far safer in the theatre than outside on the street or in any shops. It's all so wrong to close the theatres. I want to thank you & all the rest of the cast and everyone involved with the show for all the hard work that's gone into entertaining us musical theatre lovers. We WILL be back.💕💕👏👏👏👏👏

I wasn’t feeling sad about my own ‘break’ from doing amateur musical theatre until I saw myself reflected in your emotions. My last show was in September last year, and I stepped back because of my mental health, I was going to go back in June, but obviously couldn’t. And until now I was doing okay with this extended break, because I KNOW I needed it. We’ll all be back, I hope.
