Your life fades as the radio malfunctions, and you get glimpses of how society was before the conflicts.

This reminds me of a dream I had where I was in New York and everyone was pushing and rushing as I heard the nuclear sirens and I went with them and as the bomb dropped I saw a flash but I wasn’t dead just pain lots of pain and I saw the city looked completely destroyed and falling apart with the Statue of Liberty’s front completely destroyed and I started to hear music like this except it has different lyrics it was difficult to make out i couldn’t tell but it seemed to be in German cause I heard a few words i learned when taking German in school

I have a feeling that we're going to meet again sometime. But it's not true. She's dead. I still roam the radio active dirt pile that is left. Whitout her.

i watched a documentary about 9/11 in my social studies class once, and it showed a recording of the plaza in between the two towers after the first tower was hit. in the background you could hear the faint cracks of corpses hitting the ground from the top floors. the atmosphere sounds in this video kinda remind me of that. or it could just be gunshots, idk

POV: You’re in a ruined New York as you are fighting you get separated from your squad. Alone and fearful of the looming threat that could attack at any moment, you hear a radio starting to play in the distance. The last strands of your sanity snap as you listen to the music. You forget why you are fighting. You ignore the gunshots from around you. And you just start to joyfully dance in the ruined plaza.

Imagine knowing your the only human left and while scavenging for food you hear this start playing far from you in some smoke and getting closer.

Spiderwebs make their way up over the walls, winding and twisting over cracked panes and collapsing in a blanket of silvery silk into the chests of rooms. Hollow stars snap and crackle in the heavens, radioactive faces twisting into pictures of pain and memory. The trees, the trees bend their heads in mourning, and the girl's crooning voice wraps around them, a lilting sweet tone cracking over pops in the sound. Somewhere sometime, the world was vibrant and full, and now the sun cries teary radiation at what has come to pass now.

There’s something haunting about the idea of this being the specific song that plays on loop, echoing into an empty, ruined world with no one left to hear it.

Imagine being there and hearing this song like...it gives me some good vibes...that all the bad times are over and all the things that we knew are over

i can’t explain it, but this brings a sort of comfort and nostalgia

Once you know everyone else is dead, this song gives the truest feels of emptyness, it doesn't feel lively anymore, nobody to talk to, nobody to change something, only you, alone, animals are most likely dead too, now all you can do is wait till your death, or just live the last time remaining of your life in emptyness.

If I woke up after a 50 year coma to find the world was destroyed by WWIII and humans not turning it around, I would be thoroughly disappointed, and also creeped, and then I find an old radio blasting this song, I would just start up a campfire and chill with this on, sitting there, confessing my sins to god even through I’m atheist, then sit infront of the fire with this on, waiting until I die.

This could be the intro of a Fallout Game, but one more dark than normal

Well, there will always be some radio station that’s solar powered, and the transmitter got left switched on. Funnily enough I actually have a crank radio, which when batteries inevitably run out I can still pick the ghosts of the old world.

I like how it went from global cooling to global warming to climate change within the span of 30 years. A new politcal veiw for the masses every ten years. And a new dooms day date every 5. It’s weird how I’m being recommended this after meeting and hanging out with a girl from Minnesota on a cruise this past week while I myself am from Maryland. While we did exchange information, it’s weird that I’ll probably never see her again in person ever again.
