West ham fan here, im grateful we dont have to play olympiakos again especially away from home easily the most intimidating away trip we’ve had in europe, we literally froze and lost comfortably so good luck villans your gonna need it
@@netsurfer007its not bro in a semi final 2nd legs dend to be nervy even for the one leading, villa created enough chances to equalise at home, you need watkins to turn up in the away leg
@@ClixCFC Nobody should underestimate a PL team. Don't forget that Martinez and Tielemans were not playing on that game. But i trust that my team will be ready to defend that huge 2 goal advantage. We have a great coach now.
Hello. Olympiacos fan here. Even though we won 2-4 in the away match, nothing is over... Villa is one of the top 20 teams in Europe at the moment and i am pretty sure you guys will come to Greece more dedicated than ever... Really wish my team doesn't underestimate the situation, 'cause we will pay dearly.
We never underestimate villa like villa did olimpiacos.but also we are not going to sit and let you guys get a w. I'm sure villa it's going to attack and try to score withing 15 mnts ... but will try our best nothing is one yet..
Olympiacos fan here, great video mate, no matter what I hope you get the 4th position in Premier and qualify in the Champions League. I love what Emery have brought to your club and you have been amazing so far in the league.
Hello to every respective fan. For the toxic fans who underestimate our team I force you to learn about Olympiacos and our great history. We are a big club in all 5 biggest sports and we try to win something in Europe in football too after our U19 team did this year. We are not only a football club but we had our glorious days in football too back in the day❤️🤍
What ever happens in the 2nd leg we should be proud where it all started from relegation threat to 1 win from the UCL Uni is top quality and done wonders
Agree, I'm more hopeful for August kick off, I think Unai has used this season to test the water a bit, he shakes up the team,we drop a bollock or two,but we learn n move on. Next season is the one to watch!
I think the ref giving them a corner that was a goal kick resulting in their penalty at 2-2 is what changed the game, the ref had a awful game or was it all just a uefa conspiracy because looked like the ref didn’t want to give us anything
Great video! Even though budget, league and players are not comparable Olympiakos has far more history, experience & gravity in Europe! Tough game next wk, will be unique achievement to promote! Go Thrylos
Thanks for your content mate from an Australian fan of the Villa. I really do appreciate feeling like I’m there. Everything crossed for next week. UTV!!!
Your Greek was very good dude. As an olympiakos fan that was a cool gesture by you. Good luck to you guys next week, i hope to watch some great football.
I studied at the University of Birmingham, staying next to Aston University, I have great memories from there! As a Greek I support Olympiacos, you were unlucky last night, on the other hand you have to admit that Olympiacos showed no sign of fear against one of the best Premiere League teams, this is why football is agreat sport, full of surprises!
You've got to have a little bit of hope. Right now, I'd take just one of the two things we've got left to play for. The good thing is we now HAVE to go all out against both Brighton and Olympiacos, with a few players back. So embrace it, relish every moment. Look where we are and look where we're going under Unai. It's not that long ago we were languishing in the Championship. And you never know, the Blues might get relegated this weekend. Reasons to be cheerful, parts 1,2 & 3.
❤️🇬🇷🤍I'm olympiakos fan and one thing that im very sure about is that our atmosphere in our home is breathtaking. If you find difficult this game means,in our home it could be three times more (trust me)for example couple months before 2-1 west ham...
Bang on Max. I think it’s going to be a bridge to far unfortunately but like you said let’s keep the faith & if the worst happens at least there will be good food a cold beer & some sunshine. See you in Athens UTV !
I agree Max we look like a team that is beginning to feel the strains of a long hard season, being held together with strapping and bandages, threadbare on the bench aswell we just don’t have the players to bring on , done well to get back in it and on top for a short period of time there, but Olympiacos are a decent team and the decent teams have all sussed us out with our high line recently, hate to criticise individuals aswell but Luiz cost us dearly tonight, he has been poor since he came back, was even worse against Chelsea, he fouls too much and is too hot headed when things are going wrong, simply had to score that penalty to get us a chance but didn’t even hit the target, gutted for all us Villains who have waited so long for more success, gonna be a white hot cauldron of pressure next week, and absolutely cannot concede over there, on the bright side it could be a fantastic weekend ahead, Blues could go down and we could secure champions league football if all goes our way ! UTV yippee aye ay Yippee aye ohhhhh !!
I don't really accept that. I've been tracking for the past 11 games, we're third in the table since then, 21 points from 11 games 1.91 points/game. Only City and Arse above us. Spuds 13 points from 10. That's why we're 4th. We've lost key players to injury but the stats from last night were good. Great team spirit at VP. I wish certain Villa boys on here would not criticise certain players. How does it help?
@@realcapitalist1462 I’m not knocking us , we’ve had an unbelievable season so far , probably more than we would of dreamed of , but my point was that we are looking tired, exposed, and thin on the ground now with injuries, I don’t like criticising players either but sometimes you have to say it how it is , Luiz gave away a penalty because he had his arm up , no need, and he didn’t hit the target from the spot kick when we needed it most, it’s a tough one to take under pressure in a semifinal in front of the Holte End , I get it and I’m sure he feels crap this morning, whatever! anyway let’s see how we react on Sunday, see you by the seaside for a bank holiday blow out UTV !!!
@@stephenmoss4880 Reading back I came across a bit aggressive toward a fellow Villan. Apologies!! I do get wound up by supporters who come down quickly on players who maybe hit a bad patch and I just don't see how it helps. I might be overly sensitive but if I were a player reading that stuff I'd be less motivated than I would have been. One of Unai's philosophies, which he repeats over and over, is how he and the team work with the supporters. I believe it's very important. Look at how the bluenoses slag off their team? We're better than that!
@@realcapitalist1462 hey absolutely no need to apologise to me friend, you are entitled to your opinion as we all are , and I do agree with you , it’s not good slating players, we are all hurting and get passionate about it , because we care and want success so bad , if we go and beat the seagulls on Sunday we’ll all be raving again, such a fickle lot us football fans 😅 wasn’t it a fantastic atmosphere though, takes some beating Villa Park when it is rocking, thought the mosaic effect looked fantastic especially when you see it on tv afterwards the whole stadium covered , and you are right about the Unai philosophy, together we are strong, thanks for the chat UTV ! and come on the Canaries this weekend, put the Blues out of their misery KRO to L1 🤣
Great video as ever, Max - and well said about the supporter in L2. Hope they are ok. I agree that we looked tired and a bit nervous on the ball, but keep the faith! Enjoy the trip for the 2nd leg 💜💙
It was a very disappointing night. The players looked mentally and physically tired. It has been remarkable given the number of injuries how Emery has managed to keep momentum moving forward. But now Olympiacos are favourites to go through. We have nothing to lose by going for it in Athens. In the meantime we have Brighton on Sunday. If we win there we will be 10 points clear of Spurs before they play Liverpool. That will put enormous pressure on Spurs. If Spurs then lose we will be guaranteed 4th place. We can then just go for it in Athens. Keep the faith. UTV.
I agree. The one silver lining is that the pressure is completely off now for 2nd leg. Most Villa fans are hoping but don’t really expect us to go through now.
Tough watch last night, a lot of players had poor performances and nothing really clicked. Speaking honestly, it'll be a tough ask next week but I certainly wouldn't rule it out! UTV
I studied in Aston Uni (ages ago) but I am an Olympiakos supporter. I was surprised how knackered your players looked like. They were slow and their passes were weak. I wish you play in champions league next year and that you (as a team) visit Athens only once this season :-) .
Oly fan here. Hope you get that 4th place for CL, you got history and you deserve it. Get that money and build up you academy. Fix training grounds and facilities so that youngsters can stay in. That U19 trophy with that goal we got this year gave me hope for the next 10 years. That is what separates good teams from the great ones. Don't miss out push you management towards it.
Our squad is physically and mentally at its end. It had been a fantastic season so far. I never thought at the beginning at the season that we would be in such a position. We should be all very proud. UTV
As a greek fan of this channel since the years that VILLA was in chanpionship i can say that VILLA understimated the team of OLYMPIAKOS. Now is a big challence for OLYMPIAKOS to go to the final because the final will take place in OPAP ARENA in ATHENS that is home stadium for the last champions ( 2023) of GREEK LEAGUE AEK ATHENS which is big rivarly to OLYMPIAKOS. its almost like VILLA to go to play a european final in SAINT ANDREWS of BIRMIHAM. Before the match i said 70 -30 to VILLA. Now i say quite the opposite....the atmospere in KARAISKAKIS STADIUM( 35000 capacity))will be like hell i know that but VILLA is a big team we ll see. And something last. OLSEN was in PAOK SALONICA some years ago. They kick him out of the team before his first season finished. I think he has a good agent!!!!!!!!!!!
It wasn't underestimating it was injuries catching up on us , a goalkeeper that is not up to task and completely upsets the system, there's no point in playing a high line if the keeper isn't sweeping , he should have saved the second goal and caught the deflection. I'm not taking away the Greeks performance they are a good side but we made them look great , to many players went missing. It's not over yet though . UTV
West ham fan here, Olympiakos away was far and away the most intimidating away trip we’ve had in europe in a long time, good luck there, your gonna need it 😂
@@Lefab3470and where do you live, I'm guessing you're another person who lives in England and loves to put our country and football down, if you don't like it here, f**k off, but you won't because you have it easy here.
Max.. legend for the positive vibes, we are more than able to beat them away and this is the story of the season thus far, which Villa turns up you really don’t know and our squad depth CLEARLY needs to be improved if we make UCL (this game being the prime example) but how do we do that with the financial constraints bought about by ffp?.. we move forward and hope they get it right at their place🤞🏻
Another great vlog m8, im with you Guacci in goal from now on. There is still hope and what a massive result if they pull it off! Dougie just not on it lately, could he be going? On a plus note it shows Monchi exactly what we are gonna need to compete in the CL...gonna need some big transfers and ship out the likes of Zaniolo, Lenglet, Olsen, and possibly a few big names to balance the books. Id get the money in for Dougie while we can.
So many games ,so many injuries, and can hardly buy players to increase squad, but great season overall well done to all villa players and supporters vtid 55 years as a fan ,best I've seen for many years 👍
Hello from Greece! It wont be an easy match for sure. My team (oly) must stay very focused and determined if we want to get to the final. The atmosphere will be amazing nevertheless. May the best win.
Love your videos Max, nearly 24 hours later still in complete shock at that game, we can get champions league football on Sunday, which would be a great achievement but not reaching the euro final is gonna take along time to get over, I'm praying for a miracle for the 2nd leg UTV
well done man. also amazing to see all the villans keeping their cool. i apologise for our fans throwing things and sending threats. much love from greece, can wait to see you in karaiskakis 🔥
You sounded like native Greak, your greek were just perfect. And great video! I hope you have your best time here in Greece out of stadium (not during the game😊)…!
I’ve tried to keep away from football since last night for the first time in over 18 months I wanted nothing to do with it . Thanks for the video it’s easing me back in
@@pittassavvas7512 he’s not saying it’s a guaranteed comeback, he’s saying it isn’t over yet, which is right… if Tel Aviv can score 4 against you in Greece Villa can too…
In my opinion, your best video. Most honest assessment & I completely agree with all you said. All the best Max. See you in Athens next week. Can we do it on Thursday?………🙏🏻 UTV
Hello British Brothers,i am olympiacos Fan.You are strong team and if you don't pass to the final game, you will pass the next year. Now we must pass to the final game, this game is to our country,we must pass.
Been great to watch Villa as a neutral but never seen a shocking performance from a Goalkeeper. Being a Exeter City fan the mighty Fin Sinisalo would of been class, hope he gets a couple of chances for you next season. I'll happily have him back if not 😅
The high defensive line Emry likes to play is high risk and high reward, and bloody hard to pull off apparently. We’ve shipped alot of goals recently because the defence is too busy worrying how they can contribute to the attack, Im thinking of those horror 9mins v Brentford.
Hello from Olympiacos fan! Awesome analysis, but i gotta admit that i got stunned from your greek and especially your accent. Any origins from Greece? Hope we watch a great 2nd leg and of course my team to qualify! Παμε ΘΡΥΛΕ!
Thanks as always Max.Tough, tough night guys. As I am writing this we have lost to Brighton today, so a bad week, but hope springs eternal. We do have a 2nd leg so we are not out yet and we all know football is a funny old game. Thanks Grevisie. Still 4th with 2 games to go. I will definitely take all this. A down, but hopeful Guernsey Pride. UTV 😀👍💜💙⚽️
We’re down to the bare bones squad wise. If we can just drum up enough to beat Brighton Sunday and hope Spurs lose, then I think we go there next week all guns blazing. A lot of if’s and but’s I know, we have to be positive though.
Did everybody underestimate Olympiakos? We thought Lille would be the team to avoid. Yes, we were crap and the ref awful. After getting back to 2-2 the game was ours and under the current laws, it was a pen even though the rules are shit on handballs. Luck 4th but Martinez might have had a stronger hand and kept it out. The missed pen is massive. Overhauling a 2 goal deficit away will be extremely difficult. The positives are Spurs lost again and Blues are nearly down.
That Referee might have been the best one i’ve seen in a long time in a European match. I was worried that the Ref might suck as bad as Refs on PL do but he was 90% correct on his decisions respect.
perfect greek, diction and accent. forwarded the link to my nephews in Greece. One of them gets to watch us overturn the deficit at the karaiskaki stadium next week. UTV see you there! unai can fix this. Pau n Martinez will be the difference.
Max - i think you are harsh on Olsen .. Olympiakos were the better team - pressing was superb .. we are knackered as a team .. but we can hope - next week is another game .. on the plus side - Chelsea beat Spurs .. #utv !!
Like you said, they are knacked. We need to be proud when we are and where we were only 4 years ago! A draw at west ham and a sheff utd non goal kept us in the prem. I put on a facebook group that as much as it would be great to be in champions league, we need a trophy! Why did they make us favourites? I prefer being the underdog 😂
Hope the person that was taken ill is OK. Some things are just bigger than a game of football. We look like we are crawling to the end of the season, small squad and injuries look to have caught up on us. It was a poor game all round, given Emi's ability to play out from the back it was a strange decision to not play Pau Torres. Missing both meant we didn't have our usual platform to build from. On top of that, everything that could have gone their way, did !! I don't think we underestimated them, we just had one of those games where it didn't click. Score early next week and you never know. UTV
Next week we have to start fast...... Pressure is off now as most will have Olympiacos as heavy favourites, Martinez back will be a big plus, hopefully Pau Torres and Tielmans as well. We need to get stuck in as well. Also need a Cypriot referee who supports Villa.
What a really bad night at the office as managers would say.. But at least Emery stated the obvious we were not good enough and needed to be better. Olsen and lenlet OMG... Let's keep the faith for next week in Athens, I do think we are capable of scoring 3 goals but the decider is that we need to stop them scoring and keep a clean sheet.. which is realistically not possible. Onwards and upwards see you at Brighton Sunday early start up the UTV..
