Check out the Justin Rhodes channel. Their family has been doing daily ice baths in the stream on their North Carolina homestead. They have worked up their tolerances to sit awhile! Love how you, dad, and sis have the same smile. I would love a video where you dig into family history and old photos!

The whole thing with the ice bath being good for mental health is really interesting to me. I read something once that said if you’re having an anxiety or panic attack or feel really depressed, you should put an ice cube in your mouth because it will make you salivate which shuts off your fight/flight reflexes that appear during a panic attack. Idk if this is accurate but it works for me and I think the ice bath is quite similar.

THANK YOU for the fun and family time. I had no idea ice baths may help with depression. I may not be doing the exercises that would require an ice bath but I certainly remember the days I was a runner with the local track club and routinely did ice baths. Let me go stock up on the ice - ice bath here I come! I challenge Tom Daley to do the ice bath challenge using his trash bin!

I am a hockey maker with GB Hockey and we use wheelie bins as the ice baths for the teams during tournaments in the UK. We fill them to this and then put the ice in just before they want to use it. I get to empty them afterwards and believe me its socks and trainers off and its so cooling on the feet especially if you have been on them all day.
